Cool! The only Korean war era plane I've ever considered is the tigercat,
congrats for being the first! (I think :-D)>
So far I have most of the fuselage, the wings and tail, and the side turrets
built.  I'm having trouble with the dorsal, nose, and tail turrets however.
They just don't match the capabilities of LEGO, and I thought I'd solicit
advice from some of the more experienced (especially the SNOTmasters) builders
on LUGNET.

I'm no master yet, but I have some experience and a lot of unshown tinkering
with turrets etc. so I'll go on it anyway.

Here's my idea, use this helicopter windscreen: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6482
and position it so that the two stud indentations are facing forward, or 90
degrees almost, for the round thing on the side, use a 4 x 4 dish attached
to something, and it will hold the general shape,
Then plug the guns oin to the bottom of the cockpit,

I'm taking some pics tonight of some stuff (p-51, finally) and I'll build
this upo and snap a few for you, this is really hard to explain at the moment..

HTH!

well here's some pics of my idea, feel free to use it modify it anything, doesn't matter, it may be a little too small for the scale you're working at but I hope it works, of course colour code it, I didn't bother, BTW, this is for the front upper (...) (...) I was able to get the helicopter windscreen to work the way you suggested - thanks! Instead of the 4x4 dish, though, I used the "Windscreen 5 x 2 x 1 & 2/3": (URL) was able to mount it using SNOT techniques at about a 60 degree angle so that (...)
