  Re: WW2 Minifig Accessories

(...) Ack! Don't take a lack of response to mean that there aren't people interested ... unfortunately, some worthy posts simply don't get the feedback they deserve, and it always seems hit or miss as to what items get picked up. I know I've been (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: WW2 Minifig Accessories

Well, with the overwhelming response of 1 person, I don't think I'm going to bother making these. Why should I spend thousands of dollars on injection-molds if there is no market? I guess all of the Nazi-purists don't want any (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: WW2 Minifig Accessories

(...) Yeah, I used what I had laying around for the scenery. The Megabloks elements actually look a little "war torn" to me. All of these accessories will be ABS in the finished product. Colors have yet to be decided. Jeff (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: PBY Catalina

Ryan, I find your project to be a satisfying actioner that is sure to please the main-line hot weather crowd. What else... well, it certainly is big! -The Monkey Pontiff (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: WW2 Minifig Accessories

(...) I think these are very cool, but purists should be aware that they feature MegaBloks elements (specifically, those cool 2x4 rough-hewn bricks)! Dave! (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  WW2 Minifig Accessories

Just uploaded some new pics over at Brickshelf, check 'em out. (URL) These are examples of my WW2 accessories line, which will be available later this year. The prototypes are not painted, but you'll get the idea. Helmets will be included. Thanks, (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: PBY Catalina

(...) Ryan, Wow, you nailed it, and it sure is a difficult plane to model. I like the way you handled the radial engines, I've been trying to do that for a while, and have never been totally satisfied. Yours look great. You did great on the back (...)   Re: PBY Catalina

(...) Great Model! I particularly love how you used the 6x4 JSF canopys as the catalina's blister fairings. You may want to think about making the wing a plate or two thicker. This would eliminate the small wing droop your MOC is showing and, (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  PBY Catalina

This is my homage to the famous flying boat of WWII. I tried to incorporate as many of the "iconic" characteristics as possible. The model features retractable landing gear with inset main gear, retractable floats, hinged waist blisters, wing suport (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: New Gallery

The APC looks sweet Soren....does it hold figs? Like the SEAL troops too... Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 24-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  New Gallery

Greetings! I've got a Gallery on Brickshelf if anyone's interested. Not a lot up right now but that will change soon. (URL) comments are appreciated. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: MOC: Attack Helicopter Snakehead.

Looks excellent Phil...that canopy really lends well to the chopper form. The detailing on this is particularily nice - the gearing around the heat exhaust, the classic space balloon tires and the clustered weapons package...all makes for a tight (...)   Re: MOC: WWII Japanese Heavy Cruiser "Takao"

This is too big to even comment on effectively. I could spend hours pouring ove the details of the deck and the functionality of the midship compartments alone (and probably will). Not to mention the historical detail...right down to the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.boats)

  Gun bases

Hi! I just bought a soccer set, 3421. The mountings for the goalies looks amazingly like mountings for AA guns: (URL) light gun for a minifig, or maybe a german 88mm AA gun in microfig scale? Does anybody know if this is available in colours other (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

MOC: SAAB JAS 39 Gripen, step 1 - planning.

Hi all! As there is a lot of non-constructive chatting in lugnet.technic I figured I'd tell all what I'm planning. Here's the story: Back in 2000 I started on a big scale project, a Hercules in scale 1:20. It got "finished" in April the 8th 2001. (...)   Re: Bofors Quad 40

(...) Wow, that's big! Same reason I'm not committing to anything bigger, at least until I buy a house first. (...) Have you tried burying a 4x4 turntable into the works, or even that huge technic turntable? There is also a pretty cool turntable in (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Bofors Quad 40

(...) To be "minifig scale" the ship would have had to be 22 feet long. That's a little bit big, unless I buy a minivan. ;) (...) That's always the limiting factor. It was for me, too. (...) mass of the mount, I'll be interested to see how it pans (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Bofers Quad 40 and Tanks updates

(...) Yes, the barrels have that magical flex tubing holding them together. I added a few more snapshots to answer your question about the gun elevation to the gallery: (URL) ship is a Cleveland class cruiser from WW2. It will be about 3 meters long (...)   Re: Bofers Quad 40 and Tanks updates

(...) Perhaps I'm being unrealistic, but I've scaled my plans to match the minifig (1 stud = 1 foot or 4 x 8 plate = 4 x 8 feet). The mounting may actually be slightly too big, because my plans were blown up from a really tiny drawing. Your own (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Bofers Quad 40 and Tanks updates

(...) tanks are always great, but the 40mm mount is the real star of this update. But then again, I'm biased. ;) I'm especially impressed that it's in actual minifig scale and not compressed. I've given some thought to making just a standalone (...) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)
