Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

Every time I see military models and minifigs, I can't help but think to myself, "these sure are the happiest little soldiers I have ever seen." Great work and the detail is wonderful.   MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

Hi all Happy new Lego year to you. I have opened 2003 with some new models of German WWII vehicles. The half-track SdKfz 251 and the armoured car SdKfz 222. I have been experimenting a little with different colours. Nowadays most parts are available (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.se) !!

  Re: Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

Hey Ryan I like that alot! It has a very cool overall look too it. Fictional Future aircraft are a favourite of mine. Espeicially when they look awesome like this one. The apparent stealth features are very nice, like Bryce said, cool resemblance to (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

(...) Hey Ryan, welcome to the board. You've got a very nice model there. I'm really getting an F/A-22 meets F/A-18 vibe off of it but that's probably intentional on your part. Your use of the slope parts really help to give your model a "blended" (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

(...) well done rendition, and the use of rocket cones made for an interesting accent to the front of the model. (Also, those 4 x 7 x 2 rounded cockpits attribute a more convincing look to the model. I should order several of them.) Just a few small (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Harpy Air Superiority Fighter

The Harpy multi-purpose all weather fighter recently rolled out of my top secret possum works facility. This aircraft features 6 air to air missiles, a 20mm gun, 2 external drop tanks for long range, fully retractable landing gear, and special heat (...)   Re: Military session/stuff at Brickswest?

(...) The only military model I've done is my big blue plane (PB4Y-2 Privateer) model, which I had at last year's BricksWest. However, it is slated for demolition soon (it has almost all of my white plates, and other parts I covet, in it). Should I (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Military session/stuff at Brickswest?

(...) Cool sub! The model looks great, but that minifig looks like a giant! There's a 40-some stud wide Typhoon class sub built into a GMLTC module, but I don't think anyone's posted pictures yet.   Military session/stuff at Brickswest?

Hi, Matt suggested I post this here as well. I just finished an 82-stud long x 8-wide (of course) waterline model of a WWII submarine, the USS Pampinito, seen at (URL) as the first part of BayLTC's 2003 SF Waterfront project.   Re: Marder III North Africa

Wow. Very nice tank. I'm curious to what "snow camo" looks like. Is it just all white or a mix of white and light gray? I'm really interested in seeing more of your MOCs. Are you sticking with ground vehicles or going to do a mix of air/land/sea? I (...) (22 years ago, 5-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Erik, I can't classify myself as a more expereinced builder, or even a good one, but I really gravitate to the military models and I will say this is an excellent start.   Re: Marder III North Africa

(...) Welcome to the military board, Erik. Pretty Nifty model you have there. I like the use of SNOT building on the frontal armor plate, and the tan parts really do lend themselves to the African Theater of operations. Can't wait to see it on the (...)   Marder III North Africa

Hi everyone. I've been hanging around Lugnet for a bit and stumbled in here one day. Of course I was hooked. So here is a small contribution to the community- my first military model. It is the German Marder III Tank Destroyer (Afrika Corps). I also (...) (22 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.military)
