Oh man! I like this Exosuit very much!

To hear you of all people say that amkes me very happy indeed. It was your
robots that in no small way got me interested in mecha.

Positives:
The Front canopy is used in a very cool way.
I love the arms becaause they look beefy and match the way the feet are made
to a degree.
The feet are so cool. Those large black slope parts are very cool for feet
use and the kinda look like hooves.

I like big feet. If nothing else it makes it easier to stand these things up.

I dig the Round 4x4 bricks on the legs and arms, always a good touch.

With thanks to Gil Shaw.

I like the slopes on the bottom of the canopy and how they flush to the body
when closed.
It's so good to see those hindge parts used for the hand. I used those
hindges in my Black Robot and I made thagt back in 1988. Very cool to
finnaly see someone use them. Makes me happy.

I wasn't aware of that. They do make rather large hands, but they are
beautifully poseable.

Negatives:
As you say the pics kinda suck, I'm sure you'll remedy that with the SLR.

Certainly.

I'm not sure but I think that the upper shoulders need a little covering, or
was that the look you were going for? I dunno.

I did consider bulking up the shoulders a bit after building the arms, and I
am aware that 'Hide Your Hinges' is a bit of an unwritten mech building
ruley, but I also didn't want to limit the range of movement which is fairly
uninhibited at the moment. Ah, life is full of little compromises :)

Then agan, I had a chimp in the back of my mind when building the limbs on
this, and they tend to have fairly slender shoulders. I might sit and gaze
at it again tonight and see if any neurons fire.

Maybe a couple of flood lights at the top of the Exosuit? you know for
seeing around when working, I just thought it would be a cool touch.

Hmmm. A nice idea for those vacant pegs...

Could you stand the Mini-fig up inside the cockpit? I think an exosuit
should have the pilot standing upright. But if you didn't have room, that's
cool and never mind.

Unfortunately, no. The slopes sealing the top of the canopy almose clap him
on the noggin as it is. For what it's worth, I only called it an exosuit to
get the acronym I wanted.

Overall:

Nice first attempt. I'd like to see more pix of how you did the hips and
shoulders, those parts are alwalys of interest to the Mecha community.

The hips are standard ball joints. The thighs are a little flimsy though. I
think I'll have to fix that.

The shoulders use the arm pieces from the Onua Nuva
(http://guide.lugnet.com/set/8566) the rest of the set is a bit marginal,
but these pieces are a nice close set double ball without too much
superfluous, erm, stuff in between.

Now make more! I wanna see those SLR pix!

Yessir, Legomaster Sir!

:)
