MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
Hi, This is my first go at a mech of any size. I've done a couple of small ones to 'get the feel' and have been learning a lot from the masters in .mecha. This mech is designed as a general purpose machine useful in any situation from construction (...)         Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Jason Coronado
yes!!! this mech is awesome!! nice job for your "first" mech. those huge hands are my favorite part. it gives the mech the proverbial "superdeformed" anime look. nice arm articulation as well. ahh, if it only had weapons ;]... (...) (21 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) Thanks Jason. The arms came together fairly quickly. The torso took the longest time to built using the SEWWBU (studs every which way but up) method. As for the weapons... well, I've got a four year old son in the house and i'm trying to (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Gil Shaw
That's a blast! The scaling of it is great...big hands, big feet (which totally rock BTW), big head. A lot of mecha seem to be tall and lithe...this guy bucks the trend and does it well! Very cool. The natural poses are hilarious....the shrug just (...) (21 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) That's me: a bucker. That's only one letter away from what people usually call me. Thanks for the compliments. See what you started? (...) There were a few that didn't make it past the sensors. (...) We'll see. (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Tony Hafner
(...) mecha building, but I know it isn't easy to do that. The honkin' feet give it a solid look, and the oversized hands seem to fit it really well too. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (21 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) Ball joints make it MUCH easier. Building this was one of the most interesting Lego puzzles I've ever put together, but the most fun is putting it into kooky poses :) Allister (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Bruce Hietbrink
Hey, Cool MOC! The proportions make it look sort of mecha-gorilla-ish to me, which makes it menacing. I love the hands and the articulation. The humorous poses made me grin. Bruce (21 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) Well spotted. What's the acronym for the name? ;^) Allister (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Tony Alexander
Allister, I haven't built any mecha YET (and, boy, I want to!!!), but I know it's not that easy to build them able both to move like that and to express personality so easily. Plus, it's just darned cool-looking! This really looks like it could (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Eric Sophie
Oh man! I like this Exosuit very much! Positives: The Front canopy is used in a very cool way. I love the arms becaause they look beefy and match the way the feet are made to a degree. The feet are so cool. Those large black slope parts are very (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) To hear you of all people say that amkes me very happy indeed. It was your robots that in no small way got me interested in mecha. (...) I like big feet. If nothing else it makes it easier to stand these things up. (...) With thanks to Gil (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Tony Knaak
Thsi reminds me very much of the suit used in the old DBZ show or was it the movie? Oh I think it was the Red Ribbon Army mech. It had skinny limbs, huge hands, and a fat belly. First off, the hands make this mecha. They draw my eye on every pic. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) I am in the position of knowing virtually nothing about Anime or any of the plethora of Japanese cartoons that inspire the Lego Mecha genre. It is yet to be determined if this is an advantage or a disadvantage. (...) Thanks. They're my (...) (21 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Mark Neumann
Jeesh, got to catch up... Not much I can add to this, but here's my two bricks worth anyway: Imagine this in yellow, be an awesome worker mech. Especially looking like a gorilla, it'd be great. If I were to do the construction method on this guy, (...) (21 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit. —Allister McLaren
(...) Hmmm, I tihnk I've just found my next project. I was going to try a motorised kangaroo mech, but this sounds easier. (...) Ho yes! I only hope my rather diminutive supply of yellow slopes holds out. Looks like the UCS TIE is going in the parts (...) (21 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) when I like something I like it. Any critique I would give you would be of what I would have done but it's your mech and represents what you built. So I like it... it reminds of the exo-suits in Exo-squad which was a great cartoon have you (...) (21 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Nevertheless, I'd be interested to hear what you'd have done. (...) No. Like I said earlier, I've had virtually no exposure to mecha apart from what I've seen here, and seeing a few episodes of Transformers in the early eighties. I should look (...)
