  Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Here she is folks, Dragonwolf: (URL) should probably be in the military 8" and taller category. ***...***story***...*** "Hitman, stand by." Raptor’s voice was a little edgy sounding over the com link. "I’m going to eliminate your problem." Hitman (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Mark That is quite large! How tall is it? I assume it is primarily worm gears for the joints right? Wow. I love the detail in the head. Also the powerplant section is really quite nice. Not alot of people go to the trouble to add powerplants. I will (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) DW is about 15" tall and somwhere in the neighborhood of 2' long. (nose to tail) DW is easily my largest mech yet, though Titan was just barely taller. The Legs are mostly static, with a double worm gear setup in the hip to allow for angling (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Wow. I think Tony needs to reclassify the categories to 12 inches and lower because the big mechs are REALLY BIG. :) Nice job, btw, it reminds me of one of the baddies in Einhander. (...) Most definitely. (...) Wow. Very very cool. This is my (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Thanks! <snip> (...) Turned out pretty good. The thing that gets me is that even though this mech is really big, the frontal area is actually pretty small. It's from the side or above that DW presents it's mass. (...) Hear Hear! Time for more (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Mark, Clan Elder, your story and the Mech equally put chills down my spine! That thing is killer!!!! Wow Wow Wow! I, I, I, just can't find the words! OMG, I just gotta keep looking at the pics! e (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Thanks Eric, seeing if I can get a few other ideas done in time perhaps there shall be a part three, starring Bison. Of course I haven't even started it yet soo. You know this story idea is sort of self perpetuating. I want to keep the story going, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Hey Mark I was about to jump offline, I'm glad I caught you. Could you please tell me - us, the exact height of this monster? It really looks huge! e P.S. True the story bit helps, then all sorts of ideas pop up. cool. (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

you have got to be kidding! that thing is huge! what a behemoth! I like the miniguns and the power plant the best. speaking of the engine, do you choose parts that are more cosmetic to the engine look, or do you actually build it as if each part (...)   Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Ah, ha. Now that I'm home I can take mesurments! Dragonwolf is, 18" tall, from table top to top of back spines 33" long, from tail tip to nose 17" wide, from chain gun to chain gun (it'd be wider if you splayed out the two guns.) Mark (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Thanks, that's what I shoot for. Big stompa mechs! Extra shooty! (...) A little of both actually. I think (mind you no-one's made a fusion/fission powered battlemech yet so I don't know) that the thing should have some kind of reactor. In DW's (...)   Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Wow. Wow. Amazing as usual. I really like those chain guns. They are soooo cool. This storyline-with-models thing is awesome too! A few quick questions- * Are you going to do an Archangel? * If you do an Archangel, would it be ok if I did my (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Now those are some guns! That is one cool mech I wish I could chose it to play on mechassault. It gives the impression of great speed and power. This is turning out to be one good contest every entry is good. -Semaj (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) No plans at this time. Er, what's an Archangel? (...) Are you kidding? As soon as I figure out what an Archangel is I'm copyrithting the mother. Bwwhahahahhaa. Dude, knock yourself out. I rarely try to copy anything directly. I take a certain (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Thanks! Yeah, I know about the playing thing. I'm always picturing myself stomping around in my mechs. Thank God for Mechwarrior games... Mark (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) a great addition to the Neumann brand of mecha. Does it stand well by itself? Looks like it might be a bit wobbly. -Chris (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Yep, actually it stands very well. Very solid. Even when tipped way forward or backwards. Or swinging actually. My biggest problem is getting the tail to stay together when I whack it against something, which is almost everytime I move the (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) Sorry to bring this off-topic ;) Have you played any of the mechwarrior PC games or Battletech board games? Although they do move a bit slower than the mechassault mechs, theres much more realism in the PC mechs (IM0) Plus there is a LOT more (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

(...) I've played MW (1980s?) MW2, MW3, MW4, and MW5. (Microsoft product testing, sorry can't say anymore) I'm a big fan of the PC MW line. I'm also somewhat familliar with the Battletech board game. It's been years since I played it. I have not (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Woah, when I first saw this my jaw dropped. I just love how you give your mechs so much personality, Mark. This one for some reason looks especially nasty and cruel. Also, the guns... 'all' the guns, are just fab, no doubt about that. I also like (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry, Dragonwolf

Thank you sir, thank you. I was sort of shooting for a mech/velociraptor sort of theme. I actually built three heads before satisfied for this beast. The first one just wouldn't hold itself together, the second is neat looking but a little too (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
