..., we'll probably have to
compare notes at some time. :)

Sounds good to me.

I was talking to Chris Snead last week and Evangelion came up in our
converstation.  I'd been meaning to build one for a while but it was mostly
just talk until last night. I was pulling stuff out of a box and there were
my Eva model and action figures staring at me.

Lucky you!  It's only thee hours ago that it came to me, that I have no Eva
models and hardly any pictures of Evas on my computer!

(or maybe no coincidence at all
since Neon Genesis Evangelion was on TV wast week).

It's on TV?  Cartoon Network?  I gotta start watching TV again.

It was on KTEH here in the Bay Area last few weeks.  It's a good thing they
showed it, I have forgoten how nice the Eva series are.

Eris is working on an Eva too?
No, he isn't (at least as far as I know), but he has made two "agile torso
units" already.

Anyways, so far my torso has 3 points of articulation in the spine including
forward-back, side to side motion at each point.

?!  At each point both side to side and forward-back   ?!  All I have on mine
are two forward-backs and it's already very agile.  I can not even begin to
imagine how agile your torso is if it has that many points of articulation,
sounds very nice!

I'm basing the
articulation off my bandai model which is similarly featured.  I'm doing
this in less then 4 inches of space because I don't want it to get to big.
It should stand at about 14-16".

Sounds even better now, 16'' is not bad at all.

Before I had started on the torso for the Eva, I thought I was gonna build a
solid torso like my Zaku.  But last week when I was taking pictures of my
Zaku I realized how unfortunate it is to have no waist articulation.

Indeed indeed.  I think this is the only thing that Gundam lack, agility while
on the ground.

When
it came time to do a sniper pose, the Zaku just couldn't manage.  So for the
Eva articulation city!

sniper pose . . . mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Now I have to aks:  What is it with the sniper pose!  All my friends simply
jump up in excitement everytime they see a sniper MS (the one from 8th MS Team
in the last episode especially). Sure, it's rather nice and deadly, but doesn't
it lack the James Bond finesse.  No introductions, no warm up fights, just
caboom ("Let's play by the old Navy rules, first one to die, looses!").

If anyone else outhere wants to add their thoughts about Evas of MS snipers
please feel free to do so.
