Yeah all the doors slide open including the ones for the little people.  I
was thinking about motorizing the big one but then there was really no point
to doing that cause I'll be bustin the whole thing up next week.  I have a
pic with the door open but it came out a little blurry so I didn't post it.

Nice!

I was also gonna make stickers for the door and for other little things
around the factory but I was anxious to take pictures.

No need for stickers :)

Hey Bobby, is that 24" gundam you mentioned a new mech or an older one?  Are
you gonna post pictures of it?

sun

It is a Deathscythe Hell Prototype (all six shoulder mounted armor plates
missing and no backpack).  This is the mech that I have been talking about for
a while now.  It has no technic parts or click hinges in its frame and yet is
somehow stays together using only 1990 and earlier manufactured pieces.  It and
a samll Mobile Armor have been finished a few weeks now, but I still haven't
had the chance to take pictures of them.

Now what is this I hear?  Evangelion Unit 03?  What a coincidence, I have just
finished the frame of the torso for my Eva (or maybe no coincidence at all
since Neon Genesis Evangelion was on TV wast week).  How agile is your torso?
This is an issue of great concern to me... how agile should the torso for the
Evas be?  Back and forward motion only (what Eric is doing now) vs. the whole
package: back forward, left-right?  Or age you going to build a Gundam style
Eva with a one piece torso?

Have fun building!
Bobby

(...) Really you're working on one too? This is awesome, we'll probably have to compare notes at some time. :) I was talking to Chris Snead last week and Evangelion came up in our converstation. I'd been meaning to build one for a while but it was (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
