    Building Robopussy —Allister McLaren
Inspired by the recent robo-quad opus, and particularly (URL) this comment> on it, I am building a feline mecha of my own. Also inspired by the robo-quad, I will post the progress of the model in stages Stage 1 - Head - COMPLETED! I generally build (...)      (...) -snip- (...) Nice work, Al. The (back) legs don't strike me as being particularly feline in look or proportion, though... the feet have potential, but at the moment they give me the impression of a man wearing 'monster slippers'. I'm really (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Building Robopussy —Allister McLaren
(...) There's always the possibility that that's exactly the look I'm going for. If there's one thing I've learned about building cat mecha, is that they don't necessarily have to resemble an actual cat.Sometimes a more subtle suggestion of catness (...)          Re: Building Robopussy —Richie Dulin
(...) Ah. Okay. I was going to suggest that having a look at a real cat might be helpful to get the look right, but if that's not what you're aiming for, then you are probably on the right track. (...) Ah. Right. Yes, I guess if something has (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Vool looking so far! Since there may not be enough female minifigs, maybe your MOC will now shed light on the lack of female mechs (or is that mechas? I never remember). (...) Maybe some big eyelashes? Or some red blush on the cheeks? (...) (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Building Robopussy —Richie Dulin
(...) I've always thought it was: Mech = big robot with a human pilot, no gun. Mecha = big robot with a human pilot, big gun. I don't really grok mechs/mechas that much though, so I am probably wide of the mark there. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) It turns out there was a (URL) thread> about the terms! Live and learn. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Building Robopussy —Allister McLaren
(...) Or grok the fullness even. Robopussy, strictly speaking, is neither mech nor mecha, but it uses a lot of the same build techinques, so this seemed like the best place to post it. I call it a 'big-fig'. (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Building Robopussy —Fradel D. Gonzales
(...) It's great to finally see cartoony stuff in mecha again. It reminds me of the stuff Felix makes. There was another guy that made something similar with action figure inspired commandos. Your moc doesn't look very feline though. It kinda looks (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Building Robopussy —Allister McLaren
(...) (URL) Indeed> (...) If i was making a doggy-styled mecha, I'd be mainly concerned with how it looks from behind. (...) It will have a metallic robot body, which may or may not have stripes. (...) I would like whiskers, but couldn't come up (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Building Robopussy —Keith Goldman
(...) A, I would remark that the stiffening of hinges issue could become critical, and ultimately the downfall of your endeavor. I urge you to soldier on, and seek inspiration where you find it, to stiffen that hinge. Perhaps you should seek a state (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
