The goal was to build an exo-skeleton(1) in the Exo-Force style, but to
increase
the mobility by adding to the number of joints.

Well you've definitely improved on Uplink. I like it. It certainly looks
very agile and articulated. I do love those curved slopes (with and without
lips!) which you've used for armour all over.

I didn't like Uplink's arms at all, so I started from scratch on the
Mechanic's
arms.  I'm not entirely happy with how they turned out, but at least they
have
the freedom to move like arms should.

The arms seem fine to me. I'm not too sure about the broadness of the
shoulders; could you mount the connector part of the ball joint a different
way on the arms?

I'm considering this to be version 1.  I'd like to maybe beef up the legs
a bit
when I get my hands on some white wedges, and I'd like to do something to
cover
up the shoulder joints.

Again, I think the legs are good as they are; perhaps do something to the
feet? Not that they're not {bad}, they just don't seem to fit quite right
with the rest of the model. Covering up the shoulder joints might solve the
broadness thing - maybe it just looks odd to me because they're so exposed.

I quite like the exo-force models (the forthcoming robot spider thing I've
seen on brickshelf looks v. cool); if it's making new mecha builders than
that can't be a bad thing. Keep going!

mo - a quite new mecha builder...

After buying a few Exo-Force sets, I decided that I wanted to do something in that style. Using (URL) Uplink> as a base, I created a Combat Mechanic.
