this is one more good example, for what TLC could have made out of the
EXO-Force theme.

You did a fine job in eleminating all the odds of the original model.
Plus, this one looks much better!

The idea of a Combat Mechanic is fantastic. Have to keep it in mind...

   (1) I’ve read discussions about how Lego missed the mark on these because they are incomplete mecha. While building this, I realized that they aren’t supposed to be mecha. They’re exo-skeletons. I think they were designed to be more like the loader that Ripley used in Aliens than the giant bots from RoboTech.

With this you’re certainly right. But it’s the way those models are build
which I am not satisfied with. The shapes are not that bad.

After buying a few Exo-Force sets, I decided that I wanted to do something in that style. Using (URL) Uplink> as a base, I created a Combat Mechanic. (2 URLs) Brickshelf Folder> The goal was to build an exo-skeleton(1) in the Exo-Force style, but to (...) (18 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
