Re: Iron Mecha entry - Iron Fist

(...) Great work Marco, I wouldn't want to be a judge, so many outstanding entries. -Keith (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) La cerveza...er...Mecha...mas fina! Even though I live in Fresno, all my Spanish comes from beer bottles. Great presentation Coop, it reminded me of the intro from the old Wild Wild West tv show. I'm going to go out back and shoot off my (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

IRON MECHA ENTRY: Heavy Weapons Mecha Unit (H.W.M.U)

HEAVY WEAPONS MECHA UNIT (H.W.M.U) (2 URLs) This is my first real attempt at a Mecha, and I have really enjoyed constructing it. This mecha is based on the contest picture and the idea of modern warfare. The colours are for the desert terrain and if (...)   Dave Johann's Entry - posted by proxy

Dave got in a fight with the internet and they aren't talking to each other right now. So I'm posting his entry for him. Here's the description in his words: Iron Mecha Entry - January 2006 "My interpretation of the Iron Mecha competition was a bit (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) So THAT's why used auto parts are cheaper south of the border. Cinnamon Chili? Add some Nutmeg and I think you may be talking SKYLINE Chili! ++Lar (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) Thanks. For a long time the minifigs thought that space was theirs to conquer. But space was already inhabited by creatures far older and more tenacious than they could possibly have imagined. Mere survival was the best they could ever have (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) I think it might be chili sauce now... (sniff) Yes, I can smell it. There's a diner in Tijuana where people go in, but never seem to come out, and their cars vanish from the parking lot. :-) K (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) What happens next is left to your imagination. What can possibly stop the spread of "el horror"? :-) K (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Iron Mecha Entry

It looks somewhere between civilian and military, civilian converted to military use, civilitary. Legs: I like the color details, use of hoses, general platey-ness. Body: rear platform, opening panels (mortars?), cockpit with back access and swivel (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Iron Mecha Entry

(...) Cool! It's nice to see you working with regular bricks again, Bryce. (not that I don't like your Bionicle stuff, which I do) I really like the legs and the chassis/thorax. Some of the pieces you use bring back fond memories, like the pod-racer (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Iron Mecha Entry

(...) Looks like a hardhat would be required around this thing. It reminds me a little of the demolishing mecha in "I Robot" for some reason. Please keep it assembled until I come back down to L.A. Congratulations on completing your entry! Great (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Iron Mecha Entry - Bandolero!

(...) I would hate to be a minifig in your brickshelf universe.... Can't go cruising in my Galaxy Explorer or go to a local Cinnabon or salvage an Iron mecha without getting eaten by some space monster. And what's with the red minifig at the end. Is (...)   Iron Mecha Entry

Here's my entry. I'll try to get some better pics. I was fighting for light. You'll notice I did some quick Photoshop work hoping to make them a bit better.
