I would hate to be a minifig in your brickshelf universe.... Cant go
cruising in my Galaxy Explorer or go to a local Cinnabon or salvage an Iron

minifig at the end. Is that the waste product of the monsters or is it bait?
I just hope we never run across a space monster disguised as a giant gundam
;-)
Great work!

Thanks.
For a long time the minifigs thought that space was theirs to conquer. But space
was already inhabited by creatures far older and more tenacious than they could
possibly have imagined. Mere survival was the best they could ever have hoped
for...
The egg drone is an environmental adaptation. Normally the eggs need to be
large to support and protect the embryos in the harsh environment of space. On a
planetary surface, with minerals concentrated in technological artifacts, food
is plentiful and a smaller egg with self mobility (using the form of a native
organism) aids distribution. The drones are adept at mimicry and can learn to
open doors, hatches, etc, to deposit eggs in the most nutrient rich locations.
