The vertical-launch system between the smokethrowers is also amazing--a detail I may try to develop further at some point. Also, I meant "LAMPS/sensor turrets", seeing that the chin and dorsal units are the same... LFB (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Mladen, As always, a magnificent piece of hardware, looking so much the utilitarian part and warming the cockles of my heart for so being.   Iron Mecha 2nd Update

(...) I don't have time for a bogus entry silly! Here's a picture of where I'm at...sorta...turning out weird. Oh well. I'll just make sure I finish. (URL) No use waiting for the moderated folder. I only took one picture quickly :-p (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: L-21 Mobile Multi-Role Platform (MMP)

(...) Yes, you're absolutely correct about this, and it's a problem a lot of modern MBTs have as well. However, those hatches were the only pieces I had that could solve this particular design problem. Blame LEGO. Taking this one step further (...) It's nice that the pilot can rapidly eject, but the topside armor seems a little thin, considering that the top down attack is a favorite of smart munitions. (URL) cockpit> I like the white cockpit.   Re: The Weight is Over!!!

You might try making a joint that only moves laterally at the hip (like with 2x2 turntables), and has a fixed minimum downward angle (like with click hinges that are wedged on the upper side to a fixed angle - they can bend down, but not up past a (...)   Re: The Weight is Over!!!

(...) Hello Brian, as far as I can see on your pics the rotational part of the joints doesn't stand the weight. Try to rebuild the hip like in your first attempt. (URL) Without the rotational part under weight it might hold. You also can improve the (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Whoa man I didn't see this before our recent discussion. I am absolutely gobsmacked - although gobsmackedness doesn't seem to have as wierd an effect on me as it does on Eric ;) (...) I've started on the body. Legs are still holding in there... it's going to end up pretty heavy though! (URL) Michael (19 years ago, 22-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
