The vertical-launch system between the smokethrowers is also amazing--a detail I may try to develop further at some point. Also, I meant "LAMPS/sensor turrets", seeing that the chin and dorsal units are the same... LFB (18 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Actually, sometimes the whole turret, including the 2x2 round brick, slips off the axle peg. So, I don't know if the 4x4 round brick would work any better. snip (...) snip why not use the 3l axle with stud (with the stud part) sandwiched between two 1x2 technic bricks. very stiff and gives you a 2l worth of axle to attach to. Mark (18 years ago, 24-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
