tightening up mecha joints —Adrian Drake
What's the best way to tighten up technic friction pin joints used for mecha? I have an old-style technic pin (a little tighter than the newer ones with the rectangular cutouts) holding the shoulders and hips of my new mech together. The shoulders (...)         Re: tightening up mecha joints —David Eaton
(...) Well, it's kinda annoying to do, but something I did for my mech (the legs would just bow right out when I tried to pose him) was a method using paper slips. I cut some very narrow slips of paper, and for each technic pin joint, I would stick (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I saw your suggestion about the cling wrap before and I used it on my own mecha to make the friction pins fit tighter in place. It works great!         Re: tightening up mecha joints —David Eaton
(...) Actually, that's a great idea! Not only will it not show up when seen from the side (as is occasionally the case), but Saran Wrap (or any plastic wrap for those against using brand names :) is DESIGNED to stick to things... Not to mention that (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
