Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Bryce McGlone
(...) Hits some cool poses. I'd like to see some close up pics of the specific joints. Does it hold much weight? I don't see any doubles or stiffening a la Snead. So are you planning on selling them like the bots? You sort of said you were. Plus (...) (19 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Eric Sophie
(...) Thank you, that was part of my goal for this excersize. Leads one to appreciate like when your in art class and your drawing a nude subject. I'd really like to pursue emulating poses I see in real life with the ZRX1. I know some dancers, (...) (19 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Christopher Snead
(...) <snip> (...) Ouch! Actually, I've designed most of my recent frames and mecha to use only readily available lego parts, with no stiffening or gluing required. (...) I understand some of what you're talking about - when you restrict a ball (...) (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Eric Sophie
(...) It was Bryce's fault! I'm telling you! lol, just kidding. I think we remebered back to an early model that used some stiffening techniques. I absouletly know that your newer and later models do not use such techniques. Your still the Mac (...) (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Marcus Clancy
(...) This is a wonderful thing to see! The ZXRX1 Frame is an upgraded version of the frame that I had been working on for over a year now. The first attempt failed badly and I wanted to correct. So after some thought I made the MC7 frame that (...) (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Eric Sophie
(...) No, thank you Marcus. I always wanted to build a (solely) ball jointed Mecha, but never did because I knew the scale of the frame had to be carefully done in order to work within the physical limits of the ball joints. Your dual ball jointed (...) (19 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —brent skadan
The double ball joints are very cleaver and the level of articulation is impressive. I had spent some time messing with the things awhile back and gave up due to lack of stiffness -- clearly you solved that problem. Brent (19 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version —Eric Sophie
(...) Thank you, but the real credit goes to Marcus, the frame was his genious, inspired by Master Gla. I helped in some areas to improve it, really though the two of us brought the frame to life with additional items we both worked on. I'm gonna (...)
