| | | | Hi Brian! One thing you'll notice that is different between ball joint and gear driven mechs is the range of motion using gears is very linear. That being the case, balance will now be a larger factor in building than it ever was before. My personal (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.org.us.cedarlug, FTX)

| | | | | (...) I will keep your recommendations for height in mind for my next build. I have been working on arm and hip joints to allow the gear-driven Mech to have "almost" the same motion (x,y and z axis) as the ball and joint model. (...) With this being (...) If you wanna continue to go in this direction, I suggest that you try some variation with your legs... I mean, try making (...) All I was thinking was bi-pedal with missiles. Do you have a link to any (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| | | | | (...) lol... not so much that it's an ED-209, it's just that it has that reverse knee bend action :) Again, not that I have anything against these type of mechs, I just prefer a more "humanoid" type model. Keep on truckin! E. (20 years ago, 26-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Good for you! The legs are thin, could be filled in with brick or (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.org.us.cedarlug, FTX)
