New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Mladen Pejic
(URL) Click on Image I'm back after a little diversion... It's feels so good posting about an MOC again. This mecha is a little bit of everything; part GITS fuchikoma, part Soren-ish colour usage and detailing, and part real-life AFV. Enjoy! (URL) (...) And I can always count on you to make your mechs well armed. Awesome classic dark gray color scheme. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Thanks Kyle! The GITS-style toes are something I've really wanted to incorporate into all my multiped mecha, but haven't due to lack of initiative. (...) I see what you're saying. The upper portion of the legs bug me a bit too. Guess I should (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Niiiice. I see the influence of your last multilegged mech, in the square body plan, but I absolutely LOVE that red chin sensor turret! The shape is so organic but so, well, square that the net effect is very pleasing on the eye. I also like (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Heh, this is why I love reading your replies LFB, you get the reasoning behind the design! Yes, the "head" was originally a dull block, until I started fiddling around trying to make it "sexier". :-) Too bad LEGO doesn't make pieces that are (...) I don't know, you might be able to do something with the Technic Driving Ring Extension...in dark grey on the (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Soren Roberts
(...) Mmmm, I like it. Your usual attention to detail shows, the "icing" on this one is very nice. I think you missed the boat on the general shape though; this design begs for some asymmetry in weapons placement. Otherwise, a nice addition to your (...)          Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Mladen Pejic
(...) Thanks Soren! Yeah, I originally did think of an asymmetrical design but I knew I'd mess it up somehow. I like to keep things simple, so I always opt for symmetry. (...) Thanks again. (...) Well, I've noticed your use of colours nicely (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) There's like 79 cool things per square inch! Nay Stud! ok, I sat quietly, silently, and enjoyably looked through each picture. Quality pictures, as always, a given. Unussual design, as always, a given. Excellent blending of very cool pieces, a (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) :-O (...) Good, you paced yourself, so as to prevent a complete Sophie-freakout. (...) Thanks, I'm using a Nikon D70 Digital SLR Camera now... Meaning I finally have all the control I have longing for; shutter speed, aperature, focus, etc. I (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Keith Goldman
M, this thing is money. For some reason it reminds me more of an insect than a crab though. The moc posesses the powerfull thighs of female eastern european olympic swimmer that you just don't see on mecha anymore. But I must complain...where are (...)          Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Mladen Pejic
(...) Haha! Thanks Keith, and pay no attention to the way I name this MOCs... I give them silly names just so I can easily refer to them later, instead of saying, "hey, remember my LX13.4 Z000 YC500 Mecha?" (...) Hehe. ;-) (...) Well, people here on (...)         Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Allister McLaren
(...) Now that I've got a stable internet connection here at work I can finally post about this. I'm quite impresed with the scale of this one Mladen. I really like how you've taken the detailing of your larger mecha and scaled it right down without (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha —Mladen Pejic
(...) Super! :-) (...) Thanks Allister, I like how you explained that. I'm glad I was able to succeed with this mecha, because it was a bit of a break from the way I built previous ones. (...)
