  Re: Phantasm

(...) Hey Chris, Yeah I'm not really breaking any ground on the technique level. :-B But I don't think I'm done just yet with brick. This was just getting my feet wet. More to come! Jeff (21 years ago, 26-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Phantasm

(...) Thanks Anne! I cannot resist the temptation of the clear brick!. Maybe I'll make a moonbase next...Hmmmmm. I would have replied sooner but I've been having trouble getting onto Lugnet. Jeff (21 years ago, 26-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I'm hitting the road tonight and its North West Brick Con or Bust! I have the pleasure and rare experience to go on a (URL) Lego Fan Road Trip.> Stopping at ADFoL homes along the way.   Re: Smith

(...) That is EXACTLY why I named it Smithereens. When I was working on Smith I actually imagined it blasting its opponents into bits and pieces, and then the name Smithereens strike me. Nice compliments, but you might want to put it on hold until I (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Smith

(...) Thanks. But like Frank Kopanitsanos said, it’ll probably look better if the shoulders were beefed up a bit. (...) Guess that's one advantage of having limited parts; you tend to make the best out of what you have. (...) Do you think (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Smith

(...) Thanks! If I actually have "chains" for the "guns" then I would call them "chain guns" But as of now their just "guns". ;) And yes, it’s a blade. I’ve always like combo weapons like those in Virtual On (Temjin’s beam riffle) and Final Fantasy (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Phantasm

OMG, that is increadibly unussual! I almost can't see the construction. Limiting, but a challange none the less! I'll get you Ranjo! If I can see you/it that is! Wow! e (URL) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Phantasm

(...) Jeff, are you feeling well? A brick mecha? :-) The wow factor of the clear elements is immense. But to be real honest, I think that's about all this one has going for it. Some nice construction elements (I particulary like the area around the (...) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Phantasm

Look!  My first all brick mecha!!  I normally do Bionicle but I decided to stepup and try my hand at the classic stuff. (URL) I went to Legoland CA a couple of weeks ago and went nuts at the brick shop. Awesome!  I couldn't decide on what colors to (...) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: Smith

(...) Very well done. The construction on this mech is superb, well detailed, good color scheme, and excellent construction. I like it. The machine guns that come from behind are a very nice touch making it fitting that it's name is Smithereens. And (...) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Smith

All right! Favorite points: • You fixed the torso proportions. Nice job, really makes a difference. • The "beam bayonet" on the rifle. I need to start messing around with those parts, you come up with such wonderful ways to use them. • The feet. (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hey a new mech!

(...) Thanks Dave. I really didn't get inspired until I looked at a boring black mech with nothing to offer except his blackness. The only other black pieces I had in bulk were the tentacles/tails in black. I just looked for any open pin holes I (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I REALLY like the rifle, i have been tinkering awhile trying to make a "realistic" rifle without it having a vertical handle sticking out, ive been trying to get the mech to hold the gun itself at an angle (think musket) but i think angling (...) Firstly, I must apologise for replying so late with this one. I'm not trying to bump it. I wanted to reply at the time, but LUGNET for some reason stopped my ability to post, and I've only just got it set up again. I'm also x-posting to .mecha, (...)   Re: Hey a new mech!

I can't believe I missed this. *slaps self* Very cool. I find it hard to comment on your creations, because our styles are so divergent, but I like it.
