  Torment - my newerest mecha

Hey guys, It's been forever since I posted a mecha, but here goes. This is the one I showed at BricksWest03. Most of you have probably seen it already but I did post a few "official" pics recently. A quick synopsis: I wanted to fuse Bionicle with (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

Re: Mecha - What do you need?

(...) 1) Dave Johann coming over and sorting parts for me. 2) Brian Stokes giving me crap loads of parts for super cheap (and on credit) 3) Dave Johann giving me tons more parts for free as long as I "make some thing cool". 4) Eric Sophie telling me (...)   Re: A ugly thing built from 4174 alone.

(...) Oooh! A response! That I honestly did not expect :) It looks old and tired, full of suspisions... Thanks for the reply! /Tobbe (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 4 new MOC's, one i remembered from a dream.

(...) Hi there, Jeff! I love seeing others building using the SWminis as a parts selection-I've been doing this myself. Congrats on such a cool looking bot using such a limited selection of parts! -Dave (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.microscale)

  Tw0nCo ICU FireMech 1.0 Prototype

Greetings, Earth-Mortals! I'll admit I'm not a major 'mech-MOCcer. But I had some fun, and wanted to share my first little baby 'mech... ...Begin Transmission... Tw0nCo Enterprises is pleased to announce the design of an autonomous fire-fighting (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: A ugly thing built from 4174 alone.

(...) The eyes make it funny- like the mech is paranoid or something! Jeff (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Adrian, Incredi-gobble! What's cool is that it looks both formidable and goofy at the same time. The true strength of this weapon, I believe, is that as it approaches the target evil-doer vessel, the bad guy occupants inside roll on the floor (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: leg building instructions redux

(...) The tiredness I can stand but my SO really comes in the first room although she would never admit she rather go to sleep by my side then while I'm in the Geekroom. (...) It was a necessity since I don't own any 1 x 7 beams in full width :) (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Heh, no problem. We'll give you vague meaningless compliments anytime you want. :P (...) You are on the way to digestion. -Andrusi && Sanity not included. (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

  Re: Minotaur

Ya know, i've said it before, and i'll say it again...Mark, you are the king of all reverse joints! your style is original, never been done before... your works are grand, as if they could soar... if ever one needs a to work on a few points... they (...)   Re: Minotaur

(...) Could you bury one of the gold keys from the Harry Potter sets in there somehow? They have a nice ring-ish look to the end. They fit really nicely into a 1x2 brick with cross axle hole, but that would make your minotaur's head a lot thicker. (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Minotaur

(...) You know I spent a hour trying to find something that would make a good nose ring. Straws distort too much, tubes too big, many pieces too complicated, basketball hoops too big. Something will come out and whammo, it's going on. Thanks man (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle)

  Re: leg building instructions redux

(...) Mine gave up. She just reminds me how tired I'll be the next day... (...) Hey, that's a great idea! (...) Can't wait! Snow Daddy (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MPM-CRT1

Mark, With its size and the hinge cylinders sticking out, I tried to keep the whole design plain and uncomplicated. If I probably had bigger treads then there would be more room to create a larger unit. You're not the only one who liked the facility (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MPM-CRT1

John, That's exactly what the tank is all about. Simple but effective and if you've seen my dioramas then you know that creating the appropriate background is just as important as the MOC. Thanks, ACPin & Sons (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) I was supremely pleased with the way the legs turned out. They were one of the things that I tried to get "bird-like" as best that I could. (...) Nothing like a little greebly-ing to make life fun :) (...) That Trigun compartment took me (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Oh absolutely this'll be coming to brickfest. The head, tail, wings, and legs all come off relatively easily, so this is quite the portable bird (unlike some of my other creations.) Eric does get charmingly exuberant, doesn't he :) Adrian (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) I'd just like to say thanks to all the people I didn't specifically respond to for all the positive comments. It's reasons like these that I really love Lugnet. The kind words (and great creations) inspire me to keep creating bigger, better, (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Yes, it is self-supporting without the stand. However, the center of mass is rather far forward when it's in regular turkey mode, so it sort of leans over a bit (the shock absorber in the leg is actually slightly weight bearing, so it deforms (...)
