  Holy Schznatt! What's this??

WoW!! While calmy browsing along through Eric Sophie's BW03 folder, I stumble unwittingly across these mechanical hulks of building prowess! What's the scoop? Who did them? (URL) I think one of the following has happened- 1- SunYun has started (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Robbie - the latest in mining technology

(...) Just an update... Since people generally tend to respond better to REAL pictures rather than run-of-the-mill renderings, I've uploaded some pics of the real Robbie. After moderation: (URL) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What's a snow daddy to do?

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) Adrian is correct in that we spent quite a while checking out the new parts and getting some ideas of what to expect from this line. I was impressed with the overall line and absolutely loved the animals set (lizard, crab, ant, etc) due to the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) (URL) for Inventor and Designer Sets towards the bottom of the page. Complete with prices (looks really really great!). Best regards, /Tobbe (URL) SPAM when e-mailing) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: It came from the mists, what kind of beast is this?

(...) But, I'm afraid the nostril/eye confusion lasted right until this photo: (URL) eyes look more like ears and the nostrils like eyes. However, when I did see the ears, uhm, eyes as eyes it creamed with evil! I think I'm afraid of looking at it (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Hiroki Nakanishi Mecha

Has anyone else seen this? (URL) love it. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Akael Me'Han Dragon Project.

(...) Heh, that was my original intent :) I decided to pursue a more vicious version of this project, presented nine months ago by Todd Kubo; (URL) was aiming for a more unique, rustic and imposing result. I believe I hit it pretty well... (...) (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) I wouldn't worry. Think about how the last 5 years have changed for Lego fans. Do the space fans still build even though we have Star Wars? Do the castle fans still build even though we have Harry Potter? Do the train fans still build even (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) Your guess would be correct. Each set comes with an idea book that gives hints on how to build all sorts of things. Some of the books have 60-70 different ideas in them. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) My guess is that they're books included with the sets similar to the ones in the Creator boxes. Allister (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) This frightens me... I see horrors on the horizon... Lego is starting their own mech/thing line... I know people think this is good... But I see problems... For those like me, this could stop us from being creative... But, the pieces we need (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) Looking around, I found additonal pictures of the Make and Create line, scans from the Dutch catalogue, at Stuifzand aka Saskia's website. (5 URLs) catalogue seems to show an Idea book associated with this line. Anyone know if this is true? (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) Funny, I was checking out the blue ones in Enfield and that's how they explained it to us. We saw the little ones, medium sized ones and the big un' Now there may not be complete instructions for all of them (ideas for the different (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mini-mecha from Lego?

(...) This may actually be one of my favorite parts about this line... no back story. (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech: Lenze

sorry, big guy, but i scrapped the project. it's not because i got discouraged after seeing your mecha, but rather, i got as far as the lower leg and it just turned out crappy. nonetheless, i thought i'd delve a little into the "chicken walker" (...)   Re: What's a snow daddy to do?

(...) Thanks! (...) Yeah, I hear you. I think the arms are a tad thin in places, used some bits to help beef it up. But it makes for a T-rex sort of effect. Big honking legs and body, little head and wirey arms. Mark (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: What's a snow daddy to do?

That is sweet! it has an awesome mech-monster feel to it, like a rabid dog with it's two front legs cut off! The rocket pack on the back is very nice. I love that head! it's so freaky-dogish, and I like the skis around the neck. one quibble, the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New Mech: Lenze

This is awesome! There are so many things here that are out of the ordinary, and I like that alot. The arms and legs are beautiful! smooth, angular, and the color balance in each is near perfect. The shoulders are very nice as well, but I think the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
