Re: My First Mecha and a new fighter

(...) I have checked this out before. I never thought of a good use for it though. Using click hinges instead is much easier andresults in a more robust panel. Pat J (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Almost-Mecha with Throwbot parts

(...) Very nice. I'm impressed. But, I wouldn't try rebuilding it for a minifig pilot - it's not big enough, so I think you'd ruin the look deforming it to take one. Don't spoil it. Just my thoughts... JJ. (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) favorite (...) No, I disagree. They're fairly crude mech designs. They're all obviously designed as polygonal wireframes for the game, then the facets painted in by a comic artist. I think Lego versions would be fairly plain - although they (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Marauder

Here are some pretty decent images that were done in a 3D CAD program. (URL) I may make a suggestion, I think your beginning design could use a bit of contouring. The legs you have so far are a bit too straight, IMO. Good luck, ~Mark (...) or the (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Marauder

Hi, Could someone direct me to some images of the Battletech Marauder or the Macross/Robotech Officer Battle Pod (non-lego)? I'm mainly interested in images showing the mecha in motion. I'm working on my own design of the Marauder. The leg I have (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New: BattleTech Behemoth/Stone Rhino

I decided to try building some realistic BattleTech models, hoping to bring my skill up to par with the designs on the Lego MechWarrior and Lego MechCommander sites. The result is the Behemoth/Stone Rhino. This ultra-large Assault-class BattleMech (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: question....

(...) I don't think so... I can recall at least one site that wasn't a CLSotW and was in a links section (though it deserves to be a CLSotW... maybe I should nominate it, hmmm). For now, it's mostly Todd's call (what goes in the links). -Shiri (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: question....

(...) I'm pretty sure that you have to get to be a "Cool Lego Site of the Week" to get on the links, or you used to anyway.... I'm not too sure anymore though. BTW, your website rocks!   Re: Mark's Lego Creations BIG BIG UPDATE!

Heh. When I built the Helldog I was thinking,"wow, Mladen is going to love this." I borrowed the torso design from a Front Mission 3 mecha, and the head is inspired by the Gundam Zaku... everything else I just built 'cuz it felt right. Yesterday I (...)
