Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) <Big Snip> (...) I was completely aware of their origins, I was merely commenting on the actual style of the mech. Thanks for the history lesson Mark! :) -Dave (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) Incorrect. The Zentraedi mecha we see in Macross/Robotech were directly ripped off and used in Battletech and Mechwarrior. Case in point: (URL) Battle pod was used by FASA and renamed the Marauder. They stole the Veritech in Battroid mode and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My top 10

(...) Agreed. That would defray much of the negativity surrounding this thread. (...) I'd like to think so as well. Choosing a MOC based soley on color seems a bit odd to me, but if it's the only bue mecha he's come across, I can see this as a valid (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) These are also well known as powersuits or power armor. These were a step up in size from Iran Man's armor. Iron Monger would be a good example of the smallest type of power armor. 12-14 feet tall at the highest. Chicken walkers like the AT-ST (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Aquilla

(...) Great model, Joel! I love avain-looking mecha and this is one of the coolest. My one problem with it is the 7 color colorscheme, but I tend to go overboard on that sort of thing anyway. :) Keep up the great work! -Dave (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Aquilla

(...) Tired of this? (...) I don't know how others feel, but I love this model! This is now a flying zerg/bug with heavy artilery and huge tounge sticking out, and I like it!   Re: My top 10

Thanks!! I requested some details so that people could see a little better why picked these MOCs. If you're going release your opinions to the public, it might be a good idea to include details such as these. In fact, if you do such a list again in (...)   Re: Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

(...) I guess it depends on the person defining, but as for my mecha, I have Light, Medium, and Heavy. They generally refer to the size and armament of the mecha. I don't have very strict rules for this. I usually just build a mecha and then take a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Define Mecha Types Por Moi...

Hey Y'all: Could someone please explain the differences between light and heavy mecha for me? Does it describe function or appearance?   New MOC: Aquilla

I know I should have called it Sirius II (not too much creativity in this one I guess) but I just wanted to take a couple pix before I got tired of it. ;-) (URL) and sorry for the bad pictures... <<Joel>> (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My top 10

Hey, Jacob, any chance you could provide a follow-up post describing what it was that you liked about these MOCs? Somewhere you mentioned that they are simple yet well-designed. How about some details on that design? What is it about these winners (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Reaper Assault Mecha

Here it is, the Reaper. I've spent more time on this mecha than any of my others.
