  Re: Clicking Turntables . . .

YESSS TERRIFFIC, That's in the Mars sets?.... You know what this means guys! Thank you for taking Pix of the Click Table... whoa, you only get one per set? (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Clicking Turntables . . .

(...) Thanks for the pics Jeremiah! That helps a lot. But now I'm actually more curious. Couple questions . . . . 1. How strong is the movement? Less than a click hinge? Better than a standard? I guess what I'm wondering if it could bear some (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Clicking Turntables . . .

(...) Yes, it's true - there is a click turntable. But there's a catch: (URL) It's got thingies on the bottom that allow it to slide on slotted bricks: (URL) So it's useful, but only if you can find a way to build around it. HTH, -jeremiah- (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Nomination/Webpage Redesign....

Well I got my page redesigned, and hope it loads better, you want to run on 800 x 600 and as many colors as possible, but 16bit or 256 is OK. My hopes were that it could be nominated for Cool LEGO Site of the Week, It would be cool, I think my (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

Ya , TLC should take notice of individual piece sales thru forms like e-bay, brickbay, there is obvioulsy a demand for what the builder needs, They would be smart to cash in, on the other hand we all know TLC is smart about making there product (...)   Clicking Turntables . . .

I read someone else's post that on the Ogel Command Center set there are clicking turntables. Can anyone confirm this or post pictures? If this piece does exist my mecha building days just got a lot easier. More info!!! sun (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Dark Gundam Resurrection (update)

(URL) tech picture, an improved skeletal structure for the leg. Use of these angled arms with girders attached instead of sculpting with low sloped bricks makes for a lighter and cheaper structure. The side face can be sheathed with large angle (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  NELUG BrikWars 3-17-2001

The first batch of my pictures from NELUG's BrikWars game on Saturday, March 17th are available on Brickshelf. Pics only, I'm afraid- no text. Still, I'll cheerfully answer any questions. More will be coming from me (and presumably others) (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) This was more what I had in mind when I said a Mechspo could help TLC sell their product, at least in the form that I buy it (bulk bricks). It may be more profitable for Lego to sell bricks in plain plastic bags than sets (with licensing (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

Yep, Back in 1988, yep winter I rekon, I started building the Black Robot, a sort of Insect GigerMech. Yep, thought it was purty futuristic at the time. Hey still is. We gotta push this area for our own... Scouring thru sets for pcs. designing, (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I'm torn here. I agree that Lego should in some ways "bite the bullet" and just admit what we all know anyway and make some mechs. However part of me likes that Lego doesn't do mecha. I like pushing the limits in an area/theme that Lego has (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Sets for mecha/space parts

(...) Hinges <set:7311 Red Planet Cruiser> and <set:7127 Imperial AT-ST> have a bunch of clicky-hinges, including the new round ones. <set:6474 Wheeled Front Shovel> also has some interesting click-hinge parts, including a bucket and a hook.   Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I agree with you. I think LEGO is rationalizing it by calling their weapons "tools" which they apparently use to help them get around their native lands... or something. Whatever. We all know they're fighting robot things, so why not bite the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I would have agreed with this, if it weren't for Bionicles. These aren't pacifist machines. They look like the result of some marketing study that concluded "kids like fighting robots".
