  Re: New Multi Legged Mecha

(...) this baby is nuclear! powered. I'll try to make some more renders of the cockpit. Anyway.. Thanks a lot man, Greetz, Jay (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: what is a mecha?

(...) My personal favorite example is Robotech (maybe because I'm so far behind in anime). The mecha in that series is transformable and usually piloted by humanoids. Most large book stores still carry the books and video outlets normally have a few (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: what is a mecha?

(...) What is a Mecha? As far as I can figure out, a Mecha is a Mechwarrior. Two examples: A: Play Mechwarrior. B: Imagine a ship's cockpit with legs and sometimes arms stuck on. :) That is a Mecha. -- Mark Nelson (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: what is a mecha?

(...) "Mecha" is the Japanese term for mechanical vehicles. It is usually used in reference to large robots, usually featured in animation. Visit (URL) for many examples. HTH ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  what is a mecha?

can someone please explain what a mecha is, preferably with (non-lego) examples? (24 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Some aqua la vida loca

The mecha is pretty cool, but that sub rocks! Your use of the round 4x4's as weapon mounts is great. The front ducted intakes are a very nice touch as well. Too bad you don't have a few more shots of it- it looks like you have a bunch of hatches (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NEW MECHA!!!

(...) I took every one of my grey parts, I would only have a few hundred small bricks to build with. I am starting to realize that Legos are cumulative-the longer you are a Lego fan, the less walking room there is in your house. Which would explain (...)   Re: NEW MECHA!!!

(...) Yeah, the only reason why I did the Blacktron I colour scheme was because I didn't have any Blacktron I LEGO when I was younger, and therefore wanted to make my own Blacktron I model. (...) Thanks, that was my intent. Speaking of anime, I was (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: NEW MECHA!!!

Holy crow, that's complex! Love the Blacktron and classic space colour schemes too. Very manacing, and extremely Japanese Anime looking (that's a good thing). I know you were insulted when people said you got better and better, but you really do (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: The future is now

(...) The end is pretty slow in coming, then...the human race has been turning science fiction into fact for a heck of a long time. Read some stuff by Jules Verne and then think about how much of it has actually come to pass. We've visited the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NEW MECHA!!!

(...) Thanks Bryce! Yeah, I like to colour scheme too. Can't wait to see your new (gigantic) mecha! Mladen Pejic, over and out! (URL) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Multi Legged Mecha

(...) Oh man.. that thing just looks wicked. I didn't even notice the rotary guns (?) on the underbelly in the first pic. That color scheme just makes it look so sinister to me. What are the pods in the back used for, if anything? Fuel? Do you have (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Dark Mecha

I have made a second attempt at creating a mecha. The basic design is similar to the first, but is much more stable. I also gave it a black and red color sceme. There's only one picture up right now, my digital camera is dead, and there's not a (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The future is now

(...) I think I remember reading an article about a four-legged pick-up truck developed by MIT (or Harvard) back several decades. History Channel, I believe. The basic problem was that the legs were too slow, to keep it's weight balanced required 3 (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
