I dunno if any of you guy's have seen this thing, but all I hafta say is wow. This is the best transforming mech since you-know-who's "Variable Dragon Mecha inspired by Visions of Escaflown." Man, I feel like a lego mecha factory. This makes 7 microfig scale mechs in the last two weeks! I love building these things. Well, my two best mecha so far are up on my page. Both of these are original designs, inspired by my Virtual On mech (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I'm going to do instructions for several of the mechs, but it probably won't be for a few weeks yet, I've still got several parts to model in 3d studio. As for the peices I used for the ankles, the best ones use two of the 2x3 tile type 2 and 3 toed (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

I just added a new mecha to my site. The "hair" like things on the head are actually antennae for recieving messages, inspiration: Predator (movie). It also has, as Jeremey H. Two more excellent mechs! There seems to be a lot of great new mecha being built right now. I especially like the Siren, reminds me a lot of the Talgeese from Gundam Wing. Great design, and big too! Greg, Good job! Modeling mecha is never easy. I mean, it took Mother Nature (1) how many millions of years to get the human body to work the way it does. I also like using technic pegs for machine guns (or rail guns or laser cannons or ...), I first saw them being used by Jeremy Sproat and, I think, Pat Justison, come to think of it, even some of my friends at school were telling me about using them (...) I really like this hard-suit because it is similar to Ron and Randy's battle armour which was about the size of a mini-fig. Oh! This model was inspired by the anime movie: Big Wars. Anytime you feel like sharing that, well, go right ahead! =) I've gotten pretty frustrated trying to import files into 3DSMax. dat2dxf works but my models end up having over 70,000 polygons (in at least one case) and become to cumbersome to work (...) I think he's referring to my brick buttons, not the background. Those are 3d studio bricks, I've built my own database (though it's a ways from being complete). I'd have to agree with you on the color scheme, but so many of my vehicles are patchwork colors (thanks to the fact that I don't always dig into the LEGO storage cabinet) that I decided to take a que from your building tips regarding color. Same story with me, Ben. I've got 5 mecha up and two more awaiting photographing, and only 3 aerospace and two wheeled/tracked. (Although the M3V counts as 3 so far, I guess.) I just saw that Square's Front Mission 3 (PSX) will be released on the 22nd of March here in the US! Yay!! Square is finally going to release one of their excellent Mecha Strategy games here! Holy smoke David! I can not believe the amount of detail you packed in this mech. It is absolutely outstanding! I really like the legs, the complexity is incredible(1)! Robotech would have to be the first. Later to become Macross, et al. Gundam does have some appeal, but just because there is so much detail. 30 story high mecha just don't really do it for me. Starblazer, Voltron, and G-force had their own (...) (25 years ago, 15-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
