  Re: New Mecha: Trogladyte

Hi Jon. I'm sorry you felt that your mecha might be overlooked. Some weeks we get hit harder than most with work and life. As long as I'm here, every mecha gets a shot at the sidebar. I agree wholeheartedly with you choice as source parts. The (...) (18 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Brickshelf Find: LHB-002 by Kwi-Chang

Sorry for the delays folks. This season of Brickshelf Find has been pre-empted way too many times this season due to the Extreme Kickball Finals.   Re: Mecha Contests at BrickFest 2006!

(...) Letting me know directly (here, email, IRC, in person, etc.) is about as formal as it gets. Stating it is an entry on the MOC card would work, too, although I'm more likely to miss that. I won't automatically disclude entries that just show up (...) (18 years ago, 23-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: Trogladyte

(...) snip (...) Thanks, Chris. It kinda went under the radar for a few days before they listed it on the posted page.   Re: New Mecha: Trogladyte

(...) I like the claw hands. I wasn't even aware that set existed until you pointed it out - thanks! I always think it's fun to see mecha built out of one set (even if a few pieces came from another set) - it's the ultimate form of lego purism. (...)   Re: Mecha Contests at BrickFest 2006!

Is there any kind of formal entry to the contest or is simply bringing your MOC and filling out a card entering you in the contest? Mark (18 years ago, 23-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

yay, I can post again... Great work Tim! It looks very faithful to the original, especially with regard to the details. The only problem is that it's a bit too big.   Re: Tank Mech from Ghost in the Shell

(...) I haven't been impressed by CAD for a while. This one rocks! I like the color too; it's subtle and works. The semi circle design really looks good. Stick your Fuchi in with it. (18 years ago, 18-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Tank Mech from Ghost in the Shell

  Re: Zaku MS-06F Mobile Suit

(...) Awesome color! I like the way you did the sheild. It has the right smooth feel. Not feeling the waffle out on the shoulders, but I understand where you were going with those 2x2 plate deals. (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Little white shooting bot

--SNIP-- (...) That is Soren's work. I made an edge-line only render by converting the model to white and fiddling with the settings in ldview and he coloured using his colouring book techniques in Photoshop. Looks great IMO. Tim (18 years ago, 5-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My First Gundam, Aeroforce.

(...) I'm just echoing what Chris said. I do like the very Japanese style of implied shapes and such. You've done a good job simplifiying the model while keeping it recognizable which is no easy feat. (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)
