Letting me know directly (here, email, IRC, in person, etc.) is about as formal
as it gets. Stating it is an entry on the MOC card would work, too, although
I’m more likely to miss that. I won’t automatically disclude entries that just
show up at the event, but we’re very much going on a First-Come, First-Served
basis, so if we’re out of room, it won’t be elligible for the contest, even if
it manages to find display space somewhere else.
In other words, get those MOC cards filled out. :)
