  Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest

(...) What qualifies as a small mecha, a medium mecha, or a large mecha (i.e. height restrictions)? Also, I'm not sure what this line means: (...) Could you please clarify? What do you mean by one category per person? Thanks, Chris (19 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The two Drakes

Hey Mark, thanks for your feedback. (...) First I had the idea that a heavy mecha should have some escort. The next thought that came to my mind was "How small can a geared mech be?". So I gave it a try... (...) Did you think of something like this? (...) (19 years ago, 10-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Thank you Mark, at the moment I enjoy building these small bots. You get a result very fast. (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 10-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

It's always hard doing both big and small stuff. I think you did it well. Good job. Mark (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The two Drakes

These things are kind of goofy looking at the offset, but I really like the feel. In a similar way I didn't like the way of the ED-209 at first, these got a very viceral feel for me. They look like something straight out of a comic book or video (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hey David, thanks for your comments. Yes there are scout walkers outside the SW universe alltough I like those too. Your second to praise the yellow. I'm thinking about getting rid of all my LEGO in fancy red, blue and so on to speciallize on (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Paladin MkII

Hey, please don't blame me for the mass posting! I had problems getting my pics off the camera. No I managed this. And I want to share them. As this is the redesign of an earlier mecha I named it Paladin MkII. After I had posted Paladin I looked at (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

Hey Marco, Very nice! I love how you used the 1x2 plate with rods (Classic Space guns to me!) to add detail to the knee joints. Just as impressive is that you managed to make a scout walker that doesn't look like a SW Scout Walker. Well done, and (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hey Nathan, I'm glad you like it. I had the idea of a mass produced bot. And as the parts used for Alpha are not rare ones it could even be "mass produced" with LEGO. It came up in yellow as some yellow bricks were laying around. I think I get (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hey, Very Nice, I particularly the scale and that it's in yellow (a colour I don't use much). It has a a feel of mass production and quazi effiency which is great! Thanks and God Bless, Nathan (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hello Keith, thank you for your comments. I didn't realise the feet looked like clown shoes unless you mentioned it. But they really do! I think it should be possible to built some feet which fit the overall design better. I'll try and post if (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Great design Marco, great economic use of parts. I'd like to see it in context with some troop running around. Then again, that pretty much applies to any good mecha/bot I see. The only thing I don't like are the feet...it looks like the bot (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) Thanks! I have some more pics of the skeleton on my HD, I could upload if you want em. I think you might be better off buying Brian's instructions, though.   Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) Thanks for all your comments. It's funny you mention wood and gears for the inside, when I started making this, I was considering also making a wood and iron mech.   Re: New Galactic Inquisition Mech.

(...) Thanks for your comments. I think the belt buckle is probably disturbing because it's a minifig, and so it's weird that it'd be the same exact size as the pilot. Thanks on the rear vents too, most people miss those. I contend that the (...) (19 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WR02-ZRX1 Skin Build

(...) Pretty good looking. The proportions are the best of all three Bots you did on MC7/ZRX1-frame. It's not as thin as Geofrebot and not as massive as Ryetsumaki. Don't get me wrong all three are really well done. And they have your spirit. When (...) (19 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
