I sort of envisioned a mini mecha army of cannon fodder in designing these - to be munched on by Bryce's cankerworm or some other horrific large creation. But I'll keep the magnifying (...) Blacktron... (pause) As we all know, Blacktron are cool. So are robots. Combine the two and you hit paydirt. These little guys are 'Rho' series mechanoids.
