Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Nah, don't say that. But I thank you for the thought. It's an intergral part of my building experience, Mechwarriror2 theme music and making all kinds of silly noises. (note to self, thank wife for putting up with it) (...) Cool, thanks man, I (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Smack my MOC! - Fly Mech

Smack my MOC !!! ==== I made this MOC with spare parts and a desire to build something with the Micro Scout. (URL) MOC needs to be smacked!>> Fly Mech But it needs to be Smacked! Nay, I'm asking for it to be smacked! Get your smack out and then move (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.technic, FTX) !

  Re: Paladin

(...) Hey cool. When I was checking it out, I was very much liking how you made the torso. Looks neat with those parts. (...) It has a good size. Works well with those joints. (...) Thanks for sharring! e (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Egads man, that is mighty fantastic! I am so amazed and astounded! (...) I'm interested, I'm interested! (...) Yay! (...) Sweet! It can crouch and stand tall, that is a hand full when adjusting. I feel your pain and bask in your brillance. (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Wow! I saw the preview pics and I also knew how hard you were working this mech. Seeing the finished mech is a sight too see. Every aspect of this mech works well together from the geared frame to the excellent detail. Very well thought out (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Whoah. I'll let the other guys discuss the technical wizardry, for me Shogun is all about the art. I'm likin' the transition from the upper to the lower knee, with the overhangs on either end. The compact hip and waist design allows you to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

This is, by far, a mech with extreme coolness factor. I can almost see the missile salvos going off... and that kind of imagination is something I have in short supply nowadays. Great work man, Great work. Oz (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) ooooohhhh, that is a good idea. I need more worm boxes though. (...) Yep, upgraded and learned from you my man. Where you think I got the idea? I meant to put that in the inital post. Sorry I forgot. But seriously though, that is the way to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Hey, thank you. (...) Let's see, I'd guestimate that Shogun is right around 20 lbs. As for the force? It's pretty hard to calculate. I'd have to get Callum to help with that one. Let's put it this way, that gun is about fairly heavy in and of (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Thanks. I really didn't mean to make a Sophie head, it just kind of ended up that way. I started with the eyes and then covered it with that blueish canopy. I liked that so much the rest of the head kind of came together. (...) Thanks Chris! (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

It looks Avian, but at the same time Saurian. For some reason, I think this mecha would look good with a dinosaur-like tail. You know, you can articulate a long tail with a dozen worm gears... Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this. You'll dry up the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Wow! This mech is soooo awesome! Just amazing work...I can't find a thing to criticize... Just really fine work. The shape of the head almost reminds me of something I would see on one of Sophie's bots...almost... The mech looks so clean, yet (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) From one of the newbies at .Mecha --- WOW/Thanks. This is incredible. I love the detail and the articulation. The poses are so realistic. After talking to you via e-mail, I am amazed by the gear work. I can't express how amazing 22 worms gears (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Thank you! (...) Complex construction, life like simplicity. Funny that, kind of matches my programming motto. (Complex coding/simple functionality) The short of this is a complex arraingement of parts, all working to a unified sum, everything (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

Awesome work!!! The level of detail on this thing is almost excessive, but somehow works with the model, instead of against it... Very nice. I could go on and on about how well built and designed this is, but I'll spare you. The rifle alone is a (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Actually I have a ton of data on the APU from the Matrix official website.. including a full 1024x768 picture of the full size APU model built by the sfx boys.... But the feet.. the feet are killing my brain.. (URL) Look at the bottom right (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

First, apologies if this creates a second post, I must of hit the wrong button or something. Not seeing my reply. (...) Thanks Kevin. (...) I agree. There seems to be the trend that people make mechs that look really cool and are (almost always) (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Paladin

(...) Cool. Way to go Marco. Looks like Paladin is quite a bit of fun to play with. (oops, we don't really play here do we? Well, yeah, constantly.) Paladin's got a good balance of size and proportions. The joints are well suited to your design and (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Shogun, BAM (Big *** Mech)

(...) Cool. Glad to hear it man. Build, build, build. That's the motto (or at least it's mine) here in .mecha. Kind of funny you bring it up. Because I think probably the only factor that I try to keep is the reverse knee design to make it a (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
