Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) Sorry... "it doesn't seem like a moonbase module" wasn't fair. How many do you have, anyway? Do you keep them assembled, or do you take each down to build another? I'd love to see all of 'em hooked up and populated with mechy goodness. It (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

I saw this and just had to toss in my $.025, E. (...) Mucho cool. Fairly quick build in the land o' Sophie. Helps that Chili was already built first. ;) (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

Very cool, Eric. But in particular, I applaud your use of X-Pod clips. Rubberbands? Stickers? Salt&Pepper Shakers? I say if LEGO makes it, it fits the purist ideal. Felix (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

I'd say this is your 3rd best mechbay yet. The reason I think this is because it is very focused on a particular idea, and successfully executes it. Except for those weird X-pods and straps, this moonbase is incredibly "lean" and to the point. As (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) "Typical" ?!?!? I'm the only one building them! Just kidding, yes the Quadra-ped style bay was something I really wanted to try and it adds nicely to the 3 other Mech Bays I have. I now have 4 Moonbases, a total of 14 baseplates! (...) Right (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  SWORDS

(URL) They have limited life running on batteries. Still, it's a good first generation of practical ground combat robots. With mecha, capability really boils down to the power supply.   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) The planters and open-faced helmets are a departure from the usual "hostile environment" theme, and so this would be hard-pressed to fit well into any moonbase display I've ever seen. It would work better if the plants were weird-colored and (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
