(...) I've found the best method of stiffening ball joints is to insert a small piece of paper between the ball and the socket. Fit it snugly in the socket, then snap the ball in otherwise it tears. SoS, i've tried every thing, ball joints aren't strong enough, click hinges are too clunky...i'm at my wits end.....and the shoulders i'm using right now only stay put because they have jolly rancher squares wrappers in them to stiffen them up... Satyr. Thats one cool looking, and might I add very original mech! I love the legs and feet, very insectoid in form, nice colour too. In lugnet.build.mecha, The Sultan of Stack asks: Jacob, what sorts of peices are you or will you be using? My first suggestion is to make the hips almost the same as the shoulders. if it wouldn't be too much to ask, would anyone permit a glimpse at the workings f your mecha's hips? i can make decent looking legs, and even better looking torsos (all mid sized), but it's the connection of the two are freakishly hard to make for (...)
