Re: New Mecha: "Centurion" Officer Mecha

(...) I'm not say they are crap. They work fine up to a certain scale, after that though, you have to either stiffen the ball-joints somehow (I don't like modding my parts), or find another joint system. (...) Thanks Dave! I understand what you're (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: State of .mecha

As a builder myself I have an issue with the concept of this group focusing on the Japanese "MECHA" concept. In brief, I dont do designs of this type. I do designs that would more likely be called MECHS. In reality I don't do Mechs either, I do a (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha: "Centurion" Officer Mecha

(...) Thanks Mr. Rabadan! I recall you building several handheld weapons for your hardsuits, so I know how you like weapons and stuff. :-) (...) Thanks again. (...) Ah... I understand how it is when you're busy and can't build. I hope you find some (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Mecha: "Centurion" Officer Mecha

(...) Hello MP. My favorite part of this mecha has to be the weapons and the space thrusters addon. I cannot get enough of them. You really capture the weapons design and the purpose they serve. I also enjoyed what you did with the legs and the (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hardsuit

(...) Hey Brayton. I love seeing new hardsuits, especially with whole minifigs in them. It is very unique. The four arms are cool. I would really like to see some action shots to see how poseable the hardsuit is and also how the pilot (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hardsuit

(...) Soren, I agree with you that the shoulders need bulking up. However, there is so little space between the two arms that even a 1 x 1 plate would destroy some of its posability. If you can think of a way around this, I'd love to hear about it. (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hardsuit

Very nice. I love it when someone posts a model and I have no clue how it goes together. If we can both make Brickfest let's have a hardsuit sumo match :). The only thing that bothers me is the shoulders, I think they could use a bit of bulking up. (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hardsuit

(...) Criticism? No chance of that from me on this model. This is simply one of the coolest looking hardsuits I've ever seen and the four arm interpretation of the hardsuit is just obscenely sweet! Further proof that color isn't everything. (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Hardsuit

Here's a little 3 day build that came about while I wait for the pieces to arrive for my gundam. (2 URLs) This design came about because I wanted to build something with four arms. The fact that my pieces are currently very limited made it a small (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: What is Best in Life?

(...) Beautiful job Jon. Once again you pop out a briliant idea! Seems you turned a page from space to mecha. Great work! :-Devin (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mecha Fun

(...) Thanks! I don't have internet access at home, so my posting is extremely limited (for the time being). (...) Wow, really? Glad to hear it. Each time I build a new mecha, I get bored with it faster than I did with my previous mecha; Aldebaran (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Mecha: "Centurion" Officer Mecha

(...) Haha! Good to hear from you too Jason! I see what you're saying about the head; the bottom is too thin. I originally wanted to give the mecha a (URL)-shaped head, but I was getting frustrated with it and gave it up. So yes, the resulting head (...)   Re: 419 scammer in .robotics

(...) OK once I get hold of something, sometimes I worry it to pieces. While reading about a Mecha based combat game (1) (a link found from an orkut profile) I ran across another entry in this fellows blog pointing to a 419 story that's "out of this (...)   Re: Mecha Fun

(...) Wow...he posts again. Welcome back. You were so the one who got me hooked on mecha with your Aldebaran last June. I am/was so blown away by it that I just had to build my own variation (awaiting pieces). Keep posting and building. -Joseph (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
