Re: Pictures of sexy new robots...

Hey Peter, I have been checking out your work on Brickshelf too! Thank you for the kind words. I visited you MOCpages and left reviews. Gotta love MOCpages, Brickshelf and LUGNET heh? Pardon, but did I see some of your Mecha on Brickshelf in John (...) (20 years ago, 24-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Beware the Big White Robot...

Pete, I'm usually not into robots/mecha but this made me go "whoa". :) Awesome job. I'd love to get instructions to make my own. :) I like how the head is repeated on the arms but it seems to make them a little too long. I think the arms would look (...)   Pictures of sexy new robots...

Hello, my Mecha building friends, Eric, I've seen your stuff before...knew your work before I knew your name...I'm surely not the first person to say 'damn Eric, those robots are huge'...an unoriginal sentiment perhaps, but from the heart...good (...)   Re: PCS ROBRIQ

SNIP (...) i've crossposted this to microscale, because im sure they'll appreciate a microscale mech. so, how kind do you want me to be? i love the arms and if i had any skeletons im sure they'd be armless by now! Rob (20 years ago, 24-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: PCS ROBRIQ

(...) Without the round 1x1 brick or cone, they're very flexible. If you put a head on top of a 5-stud brick and put these arms on the sides, the guy can salute or even drink a cup of coffee. While the round pieces look very nice, I'd guess that (...) (20 years ago, 24-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: PCS ROBRIQ

(...) Schweet. Really cool feet/legs. I've been trying to figure out something similar for awhile - you're giving me some good ideas. And the arms are pretty nice - how much range of motion does that pull off? Slick. (URL) (20 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  PCS ROBRIQ

While much of the JUSTICE budget has gone to the Star Rangers to counter the constant EB/JE/TERRIBLE/3VIL/...EVIL/SHEEP threat, a portion of funds have gone to the civilian PCS sector. PCS has used these funds to order a battalion of the latest (...) (20 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !

Can you dig it? (April CoLUG meeting photos)

Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) I agree that it needs more detail to make it look, well, less like the panel-van of 31st century combat. Maybe the folks on this board will understand when I say I get more of a kick out of building Mechs knowing that there's a way to (...) (20 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Lego Art Show - The Country House Arts Center - by Eric Sophie

(...) What an enjoyable experience this exhibit was: (URL) Lot's of people building and great weather. Good food and lots of questions. Good show for the Bio Bricks family. e (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

Hey Kyle, I like your take on a mecha dropship, I think its an area that hasn't been explored enough, and it combines .mecha and .space nicely...like peanutbutter and chocolate. While I agree with whoever said that its a bit unrefined (ie. might (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  IP2002 quad cannon flyer

I have emerged from deep hibernation from LEGO and whipped out a few new MOCs... IP2002 Quad cannon flyer (URL) Think of it as a sort of helicopter, but without the rotor.   Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) Glad you liked it! It is big, about 115 studs long by 40 wide by 42 high. I plan on a re-design someday with some styling improvements, but I thought I should document the original in case the redesign doesn't turn out. (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) Praise from the "Master of Mecha"? Awesome! (...) You're not kidding when you say "years worth". I still remember the "Galaxy Explorer" (497) I got in 1979 as my best Christmas present ever.   Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) Nice ship, way bigger than I thought at first glace. Impressive. I really like the engine area. The mecha are also very nice. I don't like the sides as much: I like using plates as walls myself, and I also actually like some bare surfaces, but (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) WOW! Kyle you rock! I can definitely see years worth of LEGO spaceship and mecha design theory in this masterpiece. The ship is just plain awesome. Although it is a *bit* unrefined, I see great potential for future designs based on it. The (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) Thanks for the warm welcome, Frank. I love the "Judge" (URL), and you set the standard for hand-held mech weapons. I'll post some individual Mech photos before long. Glad you liked it!   Re: First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

(...) I've always wanted to build a mechwarrior-style dropship, the were always the coolest :D VERY nice engines, the xpod tops and even the lt grey barrels are very nice touches!   First MOC post--minifig scale dropship

I've been seeing great mecha MOCs on the internet for years (starting with Marsbase and Pallas Spaceworks) and I've finally got some pics of my own to post.
