John, Great job on the Chateau, I stumbled across it this morning on Brickshelf and was very impressed with the ornate details around the doors and windows. Is it gray or white? This MOC is a departure for me in a couple of ways. Normally, I build trains and train related stuff. After having been to LLC this past summer, I became inspired to create a building that had miniland detail in it, but was minifig scale. So I built (...) Well, not all of it is new, but all of it is previously unposted and all of it is microfig. The micro Deep Freeze Defender has been up for a month or so, but the house I just now added. The Potomac Mills Lego Outlet store in Virginia has on display models of the Capitol, White House, Jefferson Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial. I do not know if any other D.C. buildings have been done (or are planned) but those four are the only ones (...) (24 years ago, 27-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

On the Ultimate LEGO Book on pages 102-103 it shows the US Capitol out of 1.6 Million LEGO bricks, as well as the Jefferson Memorial, and the Old Post Office, now a shopping center. Thanks! I actually wanted to add tile to the foor to make it more exciting, but each of these shots already takes over 2 hours to generate (in POV-RAY) on my machine! I don't have too may performance problems in MLCAD because I used about 15 (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build.arch)
