  Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Ay-ya-yie, Brad! Sheesh!! I'm just speechless. As *usual*. When I was browsing the "recent" brickshelf stuff I just *knew* that had to be another one of your designs (before I checked! really! ;-), so I waited for the post to show up. ;-) Now, now, (...)   Cathedral of Ice MOC

This is my most complex CAD structure yet. Here is an overall view: (URL) is the index to all the pictures: (URL) call it the Cathedral of Ice because the two towers look like huge icicles.   Re: Colditz???

I did see these and he did an excellant job. As a matter of fact I had just watched the movie "The Colditz Story" a few days ago. For those who want to know, Colditz Castle was a German Jail for POWs who had escaped from other camps. It had the (...) (...) I've never done it except as "hmm - would this work" exercises" as prep to a large project I've had in the wings for a while(1).   Colditz???

Maybe this is old news. But I did a scan for Colditz last nite and didn't find any hits. Could be sloppy searching. I tend to look at "recent" stuff on brickshelf and sometimes I find stuff that seems recent but actually isn't, just something in the (...) (...) Everything came from Lugnet people... The 2x2 round red bricks came from one of Kevin Wilson's ebay auctions. All the 2x1s came from Michael Hader, some via ebay and some via his Box O' Bricks at Dan Jezek's Brickbay. The Fabuland figures and (...)   6 sided concaved wall building

Amidst all the train pictures from PNLTC's G2K event this summer, I saw an amazing 6 sided 6 story yellow concaved wall building. It blew me away. I had never seen bricks used this way. I knew at some point I would have to build something similar, (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.fabuland) !

  Baroque Villa

This is a Baroque villa based on Villa Amerika, in Prague (1720). I'm afraid that not all of the ornamentation comes through in the LEGO version.   Re: Church design - what is right?

Nice. I like a lot of different things about it. I like the very small transept and choir. Usually small churches are purely rectangular. Only larger buildings tend to exhibit the cross-like geometry. I like how this one has the mini-transept and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.arch)
