Re: New MOC: The Chrysler Building

(...) No, not quite... it's a little bit smaller. It would probably have to be about 50% bigger. I guess if I'd thought about it (at all) before building it, it would have made sense to do it in the same scale, even if it meant it would take longer (...) (...) scale as your Empire State Building? (...) I don't really like the top though. It looks too simplified of a representation for the scale you are using. I know you said you kinda of just threw it together quickly, but it seems to me that with (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ala LEGO (Was Re: New MOC: Teaser...)

Very nice! I like how you compressed a fairly complex building down to one baseplate and still managed to preserve the style of the building. I have considered building Disney rides and buildings as well, but just haven't gotten around to it. Brad (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.disney, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New MOC: 6,000 piece Empire State Building

(...) Very ambitious and very impressive, Sean! It is really fun to see AFOLs built such large MOCs-- on a scale of 1 to 10, this one goes to 11! ;-) Nicely done! JOHN (21 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New MOC: 6,000 piece Empire State Building

(...) I think you captured this building very well in a different scale. Was there a reason for the red, white, and blue top? Is Empire State lit up that way now? Ben (21 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

New MOC: 6,000 piece Empire State Building
