  Re: Abston Church of Christ

Thanks, Scott. I don't really care what people say about it or me, since even those who find it as a result of some disparaging post seem to enjoy it, judging by the email I get. You'll note I've quoted a few of the more amusing comments on the FAQ (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

Very cool. I like the detail you've managed to put into them at this small a scale. The underground detail completes the models, IMO. Nice. -Stefan- (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Abston Church of Christ

Well, it's been up for a month and a half and is handling the traffic okay, so I thought I might risk an announcement... The Abston Church of Christ is back online.   Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

Sean, All very cool. I think my favorite little detail is how you put the road and the subway into the first one. It reminded me of some of those cutaway diagrams by that guy who does the "Amazing Cross Sections" books that show you the building (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

(...) Sliiiick. The views from below remind me (colorscheme-wise) of an old Atari 2600 game. Probably Superman or Spiderman, with 2 color skyscrapers you fly by/climb (whichever game it was, heh).   Urban Market/Outdoor Grocer and Newsstand

I have building up my Town layout a lot lately and am planning to construct a building with an outdoor sidewalk market.   Some more mutilation concepts

The Brick-brick mutilation is based on a repetitive masonry pattern on the side of a 1x4 brick. The 1x4's can either be staggered (crossing lines when stacked) or vertically stacked. If staggered then a 1x2 is needed as well for the ends. Also if (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.arch)
