Brendan,

Great work as always.

Thanks, Bruce.

Nice entrails.  What are those white
rib pieces sitting on the alter in 8:24?

Those are the chin-strap section of white space/motorcycle helmets.  I have
lots and lots of those now from when I hand-carve God's white hairpiece out
of a white helmet hair each time I make a Holy Trinity custom set to sell.
They come in very handy for illustrations that needs bones but not full
skeletons.

My favorite photo is probably Aaron's son collecting
the blook in the background of 8:15.

It was a strange excercise to keep thinking about just how much blood would
come out of these animals.  I quickly went through all my 1x1 trans red
tiles that I normally use for blood, then most of 1x1 trans red plates, and
finally had to dip into my 1x1 trans red round plates.  But it's probably
still less blood than there would be in real life.

God Kills Aaron's Sons:  Cool design on the censers.  I'm not a fan of the
bolts of fire in 10:2, but I don't have a better suggestion than those 1xn
trans orange bricks.

My first inclination was to just use the fire pieces.  I have tons of them,
but I couldn't think of a way to link them all together into a long burst of
fire.  I thought the trans orange 1x6's get the point across pretty well though.

Favorite picture--the nephews dragging the son's away.
Odd how the fire burned off all their skin and clothes
but didn't touch the capes.  :)

Yep, God's got pretty precise control over his wild bursts of angry fire.

The Fire of Yahweh:  Cool, we're starting to see the ark on the move.  I
still really like those craggy mountains in the background.  "Trudging
through the desert is not my idea of a good time."  LOL!  Still not thrilled
with the firebolts, but when they're out of focus it's not as bad.  I do
really like the wall  of fire in the background of  11:2.  Hey, how's Moses
held up in that shot?  Two black headlight bricks?

It's a standard 1x2 hinge in black:

I couldn't come up with a better way to have someone both kneeling and
looking upward.

The people demand meat:  Favorite shot--thinking of garlic.  -homer simpson
voice- mmmmmmm, garlic -/homer simpson voice-  A little too much cloud
talking, but you're limited by the text there.  Then I'm hit with the
thought "Dang!  He's got a massive pile of birds"

I had the foresight to buy a bunch of birds on Bricklink over the last
couple months.  My first choice would have been to use brown birds since I
understand quails are generally brown.  But brown birds go for about $4
each.  @8^(

Moses is Criticized:  Moses married Shaq!!

The truth is revealed.  @8^)  Shaq seems to be the only one of the new line
of brown-skinned NBA players who doesn't have facial hair.  (I had no idea
facial hair was so popular in the NBA these days.)  Even so, I did a little
touching up to reduce the thickness of the black lines around Shaq's lips to
reduce the look masculinity.  Wonder if they'll ever release any
dark-skinned female minifigs...

That turban works great for hair.  What's that torso from?

The torso is this one:

I scraped off the Gryffindor emblem and used Photoshop to mirror one of the
folds in the garment to suggest a more feminine form.

I really like the perspective on 12:6-8.

Thanks.  I almost rejected that shot at first because I thought the Yahweh
cloud was too blurry.  It would normally blur a bit becuase the focus is on
the extreme foreground, but also I was holding the cloud up with my left
hand while I took the photo with my right hand, and so it wasn't completely
steady.  The interesting lighting on the cloud is also the result of some
shadow from my left arm.  But in the end, I didcided this all led to a more
interesting look than the other shot variations.

Other times when I'm more patient and need to have Yahweh suspended like
that, I get a little help from Buddha:

Miriam in white looks great.  Covering her face with her hands is a good
solution to the lack of a suitible face in white (is there anything out
there but the two different skulls?), and you could image that covering her
face is exactly what she would do.

Glad that worked well.  There were a few other choices:

But nothing that would have been too convincing.

Thanks as always for the detailed comments!

Brendan, Great work as always. Aaron Becomes a Priest: I love the flower-turban. Aaron looks a bit like a hippy. My favorite beast is the ram--I've always like your upsidedown construction on these (I think I noticed this first in the cows in (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)
