  Re: Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

(...) I think your wife gave you some great advice, the "as is" version is nicely done. I really enjoyed it. Great work Tony. Janey "Red Brick" (17 years ago, 23-Feb-08, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.org.us.texlug, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - Rape, Murder, Revolt, and Strange Advice

(...) Hi, Paul. Yes, those are indeed (URL) Clikits> pieces. My first use of such. Even though I didn't take advantage of it in this story, I was happy to find that they do indeed have a snap connection to "regular" LEGO pieces, so I feel less (...) Brendan - Where did the 'cakes' come from? Are they Clickits? I like the photoshop work on the six-fingered giant! I also like the head used for Shimei, and the way you built the donkey. Paul Sinasohn (17 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

These were built for the upcoming March 2008 "Around the World in 80 Days" themed TexLUG display. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering I'm working with inventory scraps and leftovers.   Re: The Brick Testament - David Joins the Philistines

(...) Hi, Bruce. Thanks for taking out some time from the holidays to comment. (...) <snip> (...) I forced myself into a corner on that one. It's the chance you take using a relatively rare color like dark blue for a minifig's outfit. I would (...) (17 years ago, 8-Jan-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David Joins the Philistines

Trying to catch up, very slowly. David Collects a Third Wife - Great face on Nabal. I also like the pattern on his walls with the 1x2 brick with axel hole and 2x2 tiles rotated 45 degrees. I'm not a fan of the studs on the back of Abigail's legs (...) (17 years ago, 27-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David Makes New Friends

(...) Awesome. (...) Thanks. Obviously I've tried to give the Philistines a consistent look in their architecture (or at least in their color schemes and decoration), working that lovely patterned arch into as many of the Philistine buildings as (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - David, King of Israel

(...) Nice to be appreciated. I've started in on my missing commentary. (...) I was wondering about the green robe. Very well thought-out. Of course, David somehow got several inches taller for the coronation. :) (...) -explanation- I should have (...) (17 years ago, 24-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David Makes New Friends

Going back to try and cover the stories I missed: David Acts Insane - I really like the wall behind the Philistine king's throne. The "drool" is funny as a LEGO joke, though I'm not sure if it's effective just looking at it as a depiction of the (...) (17 years ago, 23-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David, King of Israel

(...) Hi, Bruce. Your absence really made me appreciate how fortunate I've been to have someone so consistently providing detailed and thoughtful comments and questions on each update to The Brick Testament.   Re: The Brick Testament - David, King of Israel

Hey Brendan, I've been meaning to go back and comment on the David/Saul stories before doing this, but am afraid I'll just get further and further behind. I do intend to go back and do those, but for now: King me: Not a lot to comment on here. I (...) (17 years ago, 21-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Last Supper - Leonardo Da Vinci Style

Nice work as usual, Brendan. I don't know how you made the torso of Jesus, but I think I would have preferred a Futuron torso ((URL) It might not be as accurate, but the Space Logo could have been a nice little joke - da Vinci himself is rumored to (...)
