New MOCs: Minifig scale cars and trucks —Bram Lambrecht
I've built and photographed some old and new MOCs and added them to my site. It feels odd building at 4 wide, but it can still be satisfying. New MOC: big yellow Volvo Semi Tractor New MOCs based on old MOCs: Porsche 911 Carrera Cadillac Eldorado (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

(...) I think that building under constraints is what makes it interesting. At four wide, the constraints are pretty severe, hence the challenge is even greater! This is why I am somewhat tempted to build trains. There are a series of constraints (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Except John Neal, who builds at whatever scale he likes... 2 wide, 4 wide, 6 wide, 8 wide, 14 wide... now I hear he's thinking about 50(!!!) wide. :-) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOCs: Minifig scale cars and trucks —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) I wasn't thinking about the scale constraints. I was thinking about the practical constraints. For example, if you actually want the train to be useful in a layout, it must be able to negotiate the tight curves. It must also have some kind of (...)      (...) If I were to get into trains, I would probably follow John Neal's example and ignore all the constraints... (...) Thanks! (...) They haven't come after me yet! I just realized that I don't think I have any disclaimers on my pages either! :) (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOCs: Minifig scale cars and trucks —Christopher Masi
(...) to build one for quite some time, but I have had no success. I was fixated on using the rounded slope bricks, and they were not working well. I also couldn't come up with a satisfying round top. By making a convertible you eliminated the round (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)
