Except John Neal, who builds at whatever scale he likes... 2 wide, 4 wide, 6
wide, 8 wide, 14 wide... now I hear he's thinking about 50(!!!) wide. :-)

(...) I wasn't thinking about the scale constraints. I was thinking about the practical constraints. For example, if you actually want the train to be useful in a layout, it must be able to negotiate the tight curves. It must also have some kind of (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) I think that building under constraints is what makes it interesting. At four wide, the constraints are pretty severe, hence the challenge is even greater! This is why I am somewhat tempted to build trains. There are a series of constraints (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)
