  Would you work for Lego?

A question for all of you that I'm interested in knowing: We all like Lego here, but does that mean you would work for them? I have different feelings about this, mainly producing Art on a production basis, or stories I have heard about being traind (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

(...) Good question. As a master builder (not that they would have me)? No. I build in my way, and that probably wouldn't work for what they need to have done. The only caveat to that is: All those pieces...(insert Homer Simpson drooly sound here). (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

Interesting story, I guess with any big company there would be many different positions. Working on the Graphic design area would be a very cool job. TLC has always had great graphics. My take is that TLC is so huge and foriegn owned that it's hard (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

(...) That's an interesting point. Other companies have evangelists, basic Joe Fan-Boy types to go out and spread the word (though Apple, the best ones at this, have since disbanded the practice, except for Demo Days, where anyone who wants too can (...)   Re: Would you work for Lego?

(...) Well, since I do, I would have to say...Yes! I have been a LEGO fan since I was very very small. When it was time for a career change, I started looking around at opportunities that I thought I would enjoy first, rather than looking into open (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

Oh wow, It's smart to try and have a job that's related to somthing you like to do, I have sent pictures and resume' in the past, I think my creations are to "Scary" or "Freaky" for mass consumption. Then again maybe I just did'nt reach the right (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

If I found a job with LEGO that was local, enjoyable, and paid as well as my current job, then YES, I'd love to work for them. Otherwise, those other things would take priority. Eric Sophie <Legomaster@gobi.com> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

(...) No. I write software, and I take pride in my work.. Lego software is uniformly atrocious. I would be very unhappy producing the kind of c**p that TLC puts out. True story: I had a clean PC (reformatted hard drive, newly installed W95, nothing (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

The toy business is changing and after working for 5 years as an advanced designer for a competitive brand ,I wouldn't want to work for LEGO either. The fact that kids have had their play pattern changed over the years bothers me. They are leaded (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)
