You'll probably find that the more LEGO you get, the more complex the
sorting system gets. Until the point where you have so many different
drawers, boxes and trays that it won't fit you table or other workspace...
How you sort will depend on what you build I guess. Sorting by color
probably works for some people. I find it easier to find a black 2x2 in a
box of 2x2's than in a box with black bricks....
Once you start throwing different bricks together there's two options: you
could put closely related pieces together, or totally different. What's
easier to find: a #3 technic axle in a box with #2, #3 and #4 axles, or in a
box with #3, #6 and #12?
All this has been said before I guess, but I thought I'd throw it in anyway
since I was too lazy to go through the archives....

| Hello, I hope this is the correct place to post this. I looked through the FAQs but didn't see anything that applied to what I’m going to ask about. I recently rediscovered LEGO and have been acquiring quite a lot of parts that I’m going to use for (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)
