Well, I suspect there will be certain degree of trial-and-error regardless;
what works for me might now work for you, and vice versa. :)
I think that most people, as their collection grows, end up sorting by size
and color, in varying degrees of complexity.
I tend to sort by "catagory" first. I'll keep all the plates in one place,
regardless of color. As that starts to get hard to find things in, I'll
break it up: i.e.: 6 by n plates, 4 x n plates and smaller.
The easiest thing I can think of to speed up finding things is to sort
specialty parts out of the bricks.

| Hello, I hope this is the correct place to post this. I looked through the FAQs but didn't see anything that applied to what Im going to ask about. I recently rediscovered LEGO and have been acquiring quite a lot of parts that Im going to use for (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)
