I think you're right: one thing that comes to mind is lighting fixtures
suspended from a ceiling. A very "utilitarian-looking" one would use a 2x2
dish connected to the bottom of the goblet (a 1x1 cone might be too big for a
bulb, Maybe a 1x1 round plate?). Perhaps even a track-lighting system, with
the track being a 1-by-x plate suspended using goblets.

I think that the shelf makes best in a kitchen, and none of my houses have a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)
