Hi, Terry! Long time, no see! (...) I saw a video documentary where a large chunk of the leading edge of an A-10 wing ripped off during flight, and dropped straight through the engine. The laser in question is known as ABL or AirBorne Laser. Its built by a team consisting of Boeing, Lockheed and TRW. Its purpose is to shoot down theater ballistic missiles while they are still in the enemy's territory. Boeing is providing the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
