Finally got a new US Technic catalog, and I had to wait
entirely too long to see a 99 set in the stores, maybe
if people actually bought the CyberSlam stuff the Lego
rep would have had to put new technic stuff out earlier.
oh well.

ThrowBots

8500   Torch
8501   Ski
8502   Turbo
8503   Scuba
8504   Jet
8505   Amazon
8506   Granite
8507   Electro

The Lego site shows additional discs as a service pack. the
US catalog shows a Transport (no number) which looks like
a carrying case.

8246   Hydro Racer    3.99
8247   Road Rebel   5.99

2 small "micro" Technic sets

8251   Sonic Cycle   7.99

8268   Scorpion Attack   14.99
8269   Cyber Stinger   39.99

2 new CyberSlam sets, as if last years wasnt too much already
(but Jim, why dont you tell us what you really think)

8252    Beach Buster   19.99

A modular police car/motorcycle. The box (and instructions) show
2 additional sets (8253, a yellow/black helicopter and 8255, a green
motorcycle/sidecar), all of which combine in various ways similer
to the Convert-ables set a few years ago. Note that 8253 and 8255
are not show in the US Technic catalog

8444   Air Enforcer   29.99 avail Jul 1

A medium sized blue helicopter.

8445   Indy Storm   39.99 avail Jul 1

A yellow indy car.

8446   Crane Truck avail Aug

In the Shop-at-home insert. A large green 6-wheeled
crane. Overall pretty odd

8448 Does'nt have a name   Avail Jul 1

The next "Super Car" It actually looks pretty cool in the catalog photo.
Both the 8445 and 8448 have what appears to be a new pneumatic cylinder
which is clear with a black piston and spring.

(...) I've only seen the image (URL) really makes me wonder how the thing works. If that some new pneumatic elements? Or is it something completely new? The thing that closes the grabber looks like a large suspender, which doesn't make sense, I (...) (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)
